Replacing the Defiler Eggbeater

I wasn't a huge fan of the demonic eggbeater known as the Defiler CCW, so I worked on a replacement. I made it mostly with a bunch of chain spiky bits and some chaos spawn arms. I think my inspiration was the cube chains from Hellraiser.

Working with the chain pieces takes a lot of patience. I made sure to just to one at a time and let them dry a full day before moving to the next one. I found previously that if you rush it you end up with a weak link on the chain.

Right now, the joints on the Defiler are just blue-tacked together. It'll be a while before I paint the guy due to other projects. The arm will be magnetized on so I can swap it with the heavy flamer. I think that will also help with transport since I am expecting it to be more fragile than other models.

looks good... i agree the 'out of the box' eggbeater is eh... my only concern would be trying to transport that beast now without snapping the chains... hopefully you've got that sorted out... but ya awesome conversion!

Those little chains are sturdier than expected. Anyway, the entire arm is magnetized and detaches so it'll be easy to keep it safe while Fluffy is transported.

He is more of a sunny-side up kinda guy anyway.

Fluffy is Chaos Undivided to go with the rest of my Black Legion. There's just something about the 'ol Black and Gold.

Though if the Codex still let us give our tanks/walkers marks, all of mine would probably be Khorne.
