In tandem with my army list thread for my Iron Warriors (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?t=7580), hereby a thread to show off the models I'll be making for it.

For starters, the Blu-Tacked version of my Warsmith, Haldor Ferron himself:

More:

Secondly, I'll start the army with two CSM squads. One squad will have the gear showing for Close Combat, Bolt Pistols and Chain weaponry, the other will have the gear showing for Ranged Combat; Bolters and such. Here's the Aspiring Champion for the former squad, assembled, and in theory ready for paint:

I've already modelled some troops for that Close Combat squad, but I've yet to take pictures...

Thoughts, comments and criticsim are all welcome!

I cannibalized a Fabius a while back too, making a Mechanicus Apothecary

Yeah, those little arms work wonders ;) Quite happy with the rest of the backpack - it's 54mm Inquisitor bit I got before GW seized their bitz selling :)

Wow, awesome. That'll look amazing when painted.

It will be extremely hard, but I think you need to put a diffrent more chaos like head on your Warsmith.

I'd hope so ;) Unfortunatly, I rate my own painting abilities way below my conversion abilities ;)

I've thought about that before and that's way, way easier said than done :p Suggestions on how to go about that, which head to put there and how/where to get said head are most welcome :)

My apolagies for the double post, but I figure I can get away with it this time ;) For I have finished three Chaos Space Marines, once more of the Close Combat squad:

Quite happy with how they turned out. Placing them on the resin bases was finicky, but worth it.

Thanks, ser :)

With any kind of luck, I'll finish the fourth regular Chaos Marine for this squad sometime soon and then it's off to the painting booth.

Before then, I'll have to figure out an paint scheme, but I feel I've got the thing: greaves and shoulder pads (including trims) yellow/black. All the rest will be boltgun metal, with copper-y rims. Weapons will be black. Details as apropriate.

In preparation for the inevitable painting part of these Warriors, there's one thing I must ask: any tips or tricks for painting the 'obligatory' black-yellow hazard stripes of these guys?
