Tyranid Paint Scheme Idea

So...I'm planning on working on some Tyranid models for a small army I'm working on. I was thinking about a deep, glossy purple, like...almost black (but still quite obviously purple, if that makes sense) for the main body, and then the armour chitin plates would be a bone colour (bleached bone, mostly :P). And then the internal organ bits (like the innards in the joints between the sections of arms, legs, and whatnot) would be a fleshy, wet, pink colour.

So for one, does this sound like a good 'nid scheme? And for two, has anyone seen this done before, because frankly I don't like doing something that's already been done?
