Hey guys, the BoLS community, especially Tynskel, has made me interested in not only incorporating a rifleman dread into my lists, but also actually building one. It's been a while since I've bought a dreadnought, but I'm expecting the appropriate bits are not found in them, so I've been wondering what people are doing to build them, without resorting to Forgeworld.

Any tips would be really helpful! :D

Sorry it's not the best picture, but as you can see I agree with Vindur 100%.:D

how easy is it to attach the guns as arms on the dread? any conversion work required?

A couple of snips is all it takes. You could even use magnets I suppose. But since I love Dreadnoughts I just build a new one for different configurations.:D

The radar is the base and emitter from the new Land Raider, the dish from the old sprue and a spare DN foot.

I thought the new Venerable Dreadnought came with the dual-AC arms? I could very likely be wrong, as I don't play Marines, but I remember someone telling me that.

Hmm. I used a venerable dread to build my furioso, so I'll take a look and see what I find on those sprues... wherever they may be.

Yeah, the Ven dread doesn't come with autocannons. Just assault cannon, plasma cannon, and lascannon.

Outside of FW, ONLY the METAL chaos dread ever came with an option (included) for twin linked autocannons.
It isn't hard to mod any of the plastic arms into either arm weapons. Assault cannon-twin linked autocannon is easy. Missile pod-twin linked autocannons is also quite easy. The cannons from the aegis line also make it easy.
