Can a single unit hold two separate objectives? The only stipulation I see is that the objectives must be placed > 12" apart.

Yes. I once saw a single unit hold 4 objectives. You could probably hold 5 with a large enough squad.

I'm thinking a mob of 30 Boyz 2 deep would make a 43" line. That would let you just barely hold 4 objectives. If you went single file, you could double that.
