Hi all,
I have started making a Tyranid Prime today for a 1850 point 40k army.

It is a WIP, but I like how it is turning out so far. I have raised the base, and put on an extra head crest to make the model stand out more compared to normal warriors.

I have also chopped off the scything talons at the wrists, rotated them 180 degrees, and glued them back on to make bone-swords.

Only one arm is on the model at the moment, but you can get the idea.

I have finished it now and I am very happy with it. I did change the two bone-swords to 1 bone-sword and a lash whip so enemy models get initiative of 1 - very handy.

I tend to like more tentacles than just one for Lashwhips. It makes it look like you could entangle someone up quite well when there are multiple.

Fair enough :)

If I find anything better, and I have time, I might change it. For now at least it shows what it is and doesn't look too bad LOL ;)

Paul

For lash whips I like to us the "cords" that go with the monstrous guns on the monstrous creature frames... just a suggestion...

They are nice and long and already quite Tyranid-y...

Cheers...

Hi Chris,
Do you have a picture of which part you are talking about?

It's the ropes of the Barbed Strangler and Venom Cannon on the weapon sprue which comes with the warriors and carnifex

Paul, he is a warrior of mine with the bit I'm talking about:

I put a spiky bit on the end to make it look more deadly...
