A guy on another website has stared a necron survey, asking people a few questions about what they would like to see in a new necron codex. he will be compiling the results and sending them to gw, so you never know, one of your ideas could appear in a new necron codex. here is the link for the survey

Just started playing Necrons, and I really like them, but they definitely need simplified rules, updated points costs, and more unit types for a bit more variety.

Hey all,

I started the survey that McMuffin references above.

Here is a link to the results of the survey:

Also, if you would like to add your signature to a letter that some of us plan to send GW, you can use the link below.

Finally, if you want to review the letter, it is located here: http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B7nSXU_baCwTYjVmZWYwNmMtNDBiMy00MmMwLThiZ GUtYjg0NzZlOTBiZjQ1&hl=en

Thanks much!

Just to let you know the play testing for the new necron codex has been going on for quite some time now. Its definatly going to be an interesting book if they dont make many changes to the playtest rules.

How did you manage this?

He said 'might', so I'll take that to mean 'no'.

You can take it how ever you want. Due to the sensitive position I am in, I can not either confirm or deny anything. Though every once and awhile I like to make comments. How you take them is entirely up to you.

Well, one thing is certain. We will all eventually find out what changes are being made.

I know this survey and letter probably will not make a difference to GW, but that's not my only goal. Sending this might show that they have some highly motivated players that want to see them change. If this letter helps steer them just 1 degree more in the direction of what we (as players) want, then I consider it a victory.

I can't do this alone though. I only have 20 sigatures on the letter. Please add yours if you agree with what I mentioned above. You can even add a comment to be included with your signature.

I saw the game played myself with the new Necron rules.

Sending the letter today or tomorrow so get your signatures in if you are interested.

Thanks!

Sorry, I can in no way support any effort on behalf of Necrons. The models are OK but have been waiting on the phaseout rule for years - if sales drop to 25% the entire race gets phased out.

Voted and signed a few days back. Pretty nice depth in the questions. PLEASE for the love of (whatever) NO FNP...

Anyways, good luck with the letter. I hope we see some results sooner than later!

25% of what they expect to make, or 25% of total 40k sales. I doubt Necrons have ever had 25% of the 40jk market.

Actually, I think Necrons are 100% of the Warhammer 40,000 Joke Market.

WBB is on a 2+ and works against everything, too. And Immortals get FNP on top of that.

Well... It is almost one year later and not a single response from GW.. I cant say I'm surprised. Hopefully what we did didn't get tossed into the recycle bin. Thanks again everyone.

I posted on this survey long ago. I DEFINITELY disagree with the direction Necrons are going... "moving away" from the MEQ statline doesn't mean you get an excuse for selling more models... I understand that's how a business works. You want a better financial future, dole out some new races. Get creative GDI...

Now that that's out of the way... New units are a good thing. Taking out units that LOTS of us bought models for (C'tan) is BS! I haven't heard news of anything similar to how they handled the c'tan in DoW, that would be a halfway decent way of justifying model purchase...
