Death from the Skies

Been awhile since I've been able to play, and I've been going through the Death from the Skies book and some interesting conversion ideas came up for me regarding my Space Wolf Army. Before I go all conversion crazy I just wanted to confirm some rules. If I wanted to convert some Vanilla Marine flyers to be used in my Space Wolves army, using formations from this book will allow that. So for example I could use some wolfafied StormHawks as SW fliers (am I correcct in the fact that they are vanilla Marine Codex only?), but what If I wanted to use a StormRaven to bring in some Wolf Guard with a Dreadnought? Personally I've been thinking of using one of my StormWolves as the base for a SW StormRaven.

Also, If I do have a unit of Wolf Guard (or Grey Hunter) and Dreadnought in a StormRaven, and those units are part of 'Wolves Unleashed Detachment', how would 'Cunning of the Wolf' effect the entire unit?
