Developed in the lost and ancient days long before the Imperium, the Secutarii Titan Guard were created as the honour guard and protectors of the Titan Legions. For while a Battle Titan might shatter a mighty fortress or blast a tank company to ruin, it is the role of the Secutarii to eradicate such threats its survivors might still pose as the Titans press on to more important targets, and to hunt down and slay those who seek to flee from the Machine God’s wrath.

Secutarii Hoplites go into battle armed with Arc Lances and Mag-inverter shields, weapons that enable them to hunt war machines and vehicles that would threaten their charges. Akin the arc mauls of the Skitarii Clade officers, and the far larger of the mighty Cerastus Knight-Lancers, the arc lance inflicts damage through short range blasts of coruscating energy that can burn through xeno technology and render mute the machine spirit of even the most heavily armoured vehicle. Mag-inverter shields provide the copious power needed by arc lances, and resists blows which would otherwise slay its bearer instantly through utilising a powerful and sophisticated inversion generator at the shield’s core.

The Secutarii Hoplites Upgrade Set is a 51 piece resin upgrade kit which includes all of the parts needed to upgrade a unit of ten Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii to Secutarii Hoplites. An alternative head is included to make one Secutarii Peltast Alpha.

Completed models shown built using the Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii, available separately.

These guys are seriously bad news for Tanks and Dreadnoughts, because they'll keep on poking it with their Haywire sticks until all the arms/legs/doors/tracks/guns fall off....(and if memory serves, being Super Heavy doesn't render you automatically immune to Haywire? Fairly sure that's a Titan specific addition?)

Secutarii Peltasts seek targets of flesh and bone that would attempt harm on the great God-Machines of the Legio Titanicus. Armed with a Galvanic-caster, the Secutarii Peltasts are equipped for all manner of targets. This electro-galvanically driven, multi-function projectile launcher has multiple firing modes that may fire rapid bursts of low velocity, razor-edged metallic flechettes; attack concealed targets with retina-burning ignis charges; fire an armour-piercing inert slug-shot at supersonic velocities; or even fire a barrage of blind canister shot to confuse and disorientate the enemy.

The Secutarii Peltasts upgrade set is a 43 piece resin upgrade kit which includes all of the parts needed to upgrade a unit of ten Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii to Secutarii Peltasts. An alternative head and pair of arms are also included to make one Secutarii Peltast Alpha.

Ded shooty, with a variety of shootinesses. And the option to fart a Shrouding rule onto a friendly unit once per game. Which is nice. How shooty? If you though Radium Carbines messed up your horde infantry, how about 10 S3, AP5, Cover Ignoring 3" Blast shots which don't actually need line of sight?

And the rules can be found here (https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/PDF/Downloads//Secutarii_Titan_Guard_Download.pdf)

Mystic Mystery has consulted his cogitator banks, and predict a significant upswing in sales of the Start Collecting Mechanicus box....

And based on the predictions of Mystic Mystery, Mystery Industries has gone ahead and pre-ordered a set of each...and will probs be back for more Peltasts, because shootydakka.

they are rather lovely, models wise and rules wise.

Yup.

Looking at the rules for the Peltasts, other than being an Elite, not sure why I'd take Rangers over those bad boys? Precisions shots is nice, but AP3 is nicerer...spesh when I can drop a burning inferno (as opposed to a gone-out-inferno, which is largely useless) should the need present.

yeah I will get a unit of each, I am a fan of skitarii anyway, so many lovely weapons all around. that will give me five squads then.

Damn, the Peltasts are ruthless!

Hurrah and praise the Machine God!

Interestingly, these can be in squads of up to 20....reckon 20 Hoplites, and squad of 10 Peltasts.

Anybody know if there are colour scheme pictures for these guys for the various Titan Legions? Would really like to get some of these to go alongside some Legio Astorum (Warp Runners) Titans and wondered if the scheme was in any of the Heresy books.

Nothing as yet, but they'll be in the next Imperial Armour.

Reckon these will make ace backfield defenders against troops in transports.

Hoplites to wreck the transports in double quick time (shooting or HTH, they've got it down), Peltasts to eradicate the passengers.
