It's definitely a Thousand Son. And its on a character sizes sprue it appears. If it were a squad member it would likely be on a larger format sprue with more bits and bobbins.

Distinct lack of Tzeentchian symbols leans me toward Heresy era - though it doesn't rule out 40k

Non-mutated back pack...

And appears to be standing on a MkIV corpse....

Definitely Heresy Era I'd say - and could still be Ahriman, given he was there and all. The naughty boy.

well like i said, its a character Thousand Son. There are only so many possibilities. I guess it could be "Mr. Generic TS character" for a Calth replacement.

The piece bottm left of the sprue in pic 1 - is that the corpse - it has a 'diamond' dead centre very similar to that repeated on numerous SW...

I am pretty sure this is for Prospero...

Shame about the dangly bits on the staff - when will GW stop putting < 1mm wide pieces randomly hanging off minis?

Yay! Space Woof plastics - can't wait to see their character or characters, on the safe assumption we'll be seeing one.

Best load up the cash cannon, no?

90% sure it is a Heresy Era Ahriman now :)

Though I'd be chuffed if the same model is used for 40k, to show that Thousand Sons just don't change.

According to Faeit its the 30k Ahriman and its going to coincide with two boxed sets being released.. one for 30k and one for 40k.

The 40k one includes Magnus.

GW have made a teaser video following the leak (https://www.facebook.com/WarhammerTVteam/videos/240706472991005/). Like, this is...just watch. It's excellent.

Possibly - but I think it's because the shoulder pads are largely hidden.

Paintjob has really helped me warm to it. Lovely sculpt.

I like the fact that whoever ended up with the model on Ebay is a talented painter.

Although watching the masses of nerds rage over a poorly painted leaked Ahriman model might have been hilarious to witness.

I certainly do like the metallic red, I really need to learn how they do those coloured metallics since I want to paint my aliens in a coloured metallic (similar to beetles and such)

I can't wait to try out the GW gemstone technical paints... it seems like you might be able to get an effect similar to that.

In the past I've done a boltgun base then layered red ink on top of it. It usually comes out purple but if you start with a pinker ink it might come out red.

Yeah, I was going to get those - they are cool paints. I really love the technical range in general and hope they continue to expand it. I use them outside of miniatures too (I use blood for the blood god on my film prop monsters ect)
