Well, this is mostly an attempt to motivate myself to actually paint my various and sundry models.

My first project in this vein, shall be Konor Forgeworld's very own war host.

Skitarii, Cult Mechanicus, Knights and an Ordinatus will form part of this.

Check back in a couple of weeks to see if I've actually got anything done. And I haven't, PM some abuse my way. I'll deserve it!

*hands out pointy sticks to everyone to be used for motivational purposes*

You can do this Mystery, but gotcha covered if not!

Mr Mystery
06-19-2016, 01:21 PM
Hmm. Anyone know where I can pick up a spray box, or a guide on how to make one? Large issue I have with getting started is the right weather conditions to under or base coat!

I don't think I've *ever* seen any painted models from you on here... Get on it!

Thanks Brakkart.

I don't think I've *ever* seen any painted models from you on here... Get on it!

You most definitely haven't!

I do paint. On occasion. But the last time I painted an entire army was probably my Savage Orcs back in.....2007ish?

Right....the Sagittar has been ordered, and I hope to have it by the weekend, which will be nice (spesh as I've got Monday off).

Plan is to nip to GW tomorrow (Thursday 23 June) after I've voted in the Referendum, and grab some primer and new brushes, which Lordy lordy do I need.

That done, I can set about the construction and under/base coating of my stuffs.

May also procure a can of Leadbelcher for the Skitarii troops - will save quite a bit of time to just skoosh on their metal base colour!

Asymmetrical Xeno
06-22-2016, 08:43 AM
I find handpainting a basecolour is really tedious and kills my motivation so would definitely get a can of Leadbelcher.

Cyom on lad! pai' up the army!!

Mr Mystery
06-23-2016, 02:03 AM
Reckon I'll pick up some basic brushes (nowt too fancy needed, not for my techniques) two cans of Chaos Black and a Can of Leadbelcher, pot of Stormcast Silver and some of those Gloss Washes.

Yes. That should be enough for me to crack on.

Deacon Ix
06-23-2016, 01:34 PM
I (and some of my mates) use Halfords Primers, the Grey Plastic Primer especially, it has really good coverage and cheaper :D The Red is good for the ol Khorn, there is a white and just teh normal black matt works too.

Mr Mystery
06-23-2016, 02:31 PM
Got a can of Chaos Black, can of Leadbelcher. Four new brushes, Nuln Oil Gloss, Stormcast Silver and Spiritseer Red.

Sunday....it begins. Provided the weather is ok for spraying.

Asymmetrical Xeno

Provided the weather is ok for spraying.

So, try and get it done next week then? :D

Mr Mystery
06-24-2016, 12:55 AM
Much depends on different things! Tonight looks ok, but I'm out to dinner.

Saturday I'm working, but weather looks like a bust (I really don't want to try undercoating in humidity!).

Sunday is looking alright though. And I've got sticks and double sided tape all ready to go!

Mr Mystery
06-24-2016, 05:17 AM
The Ordinatus has been delived :) YAY!

Reckon I'll make a start on that, so I've got something to fiddle with whilst spray paint dries.

Must pick up some brass rod and epoxy glue.

Psychosplodge
06-24-2016, 05:40 AM
how bigs the box?

Mr Mystery
06-24-2016, 06:52 AM
Dunno. I'm in Nodnol, box is in T Wells.

Though I have to say, I've not been able to trace a 'bitz breakdown' type affair on the two Ordinatus.

I'll endeavour to get pics up here to rectify that.

Psychosplodge
06-24-2016, 06:54 AM
Yeah that'd be nice to see. photos and sticking saturday, painting and photos sunday right?

Mr Mystery
06-24-2016, 07:15 AM
Got work 9-1 tomorrow, so probs begin work Sunday, and continue into Monday.

Is that Regular T Wells or Royal T Wells?

Mr Mystery
06-24-2016, 07:45 AM
Bit of both.

You might be confusing Regular T Wells with Scumbridge, it's older and less attractive sibling.

Mr Mystery
06-24-2016, 12:30 PM
It begins....

Having had a look through the instructions, it seems a fairly straight forward build. The track sections may need pinning, but then they may not.

Just need to pick up some epoxy glue.

Mr Mystery
06-25-2016, 10:38 AM
Have also been sensible and picked up this useful piece of kit. (https://www.amazon.co.uk/FDS-Paint-Airbrush-Extractor-Figurines/dp/B00LPDOYOE/ref=sr_1_1?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1466872612&sr=1-1&keywords=airbrush+spray+booth)

No longer shall inclement weather spoil my painting!

Asymmetrical Xeno
06-25-2016, 01:06 PM
Thats a very cool gadget! What is epoxy glue? Is it different to super glue? I f**king hate superglue. How is the kit? Always found big resin kits like that intimidating what with having to wash it all and sometimes heatbend pieces ect

Mr Mystery
06-26-2016, 05:04 AM
It's basically araldite - a two part goop which takes a while to dry, but is well strong when it's done.

Picked some up (£7.50 in Hobbycraft), along with a bag of matchsticks so I've got something to mix and apply it with.

Still need to find some rubber bands though - they're useful for strapping up what needs strapping up whilst the epoxy dries - stuff I got had a working time of 5 min, handling of 20 min, and full strength in 2 hours. Which is nice.

First things first though. Time to break out the tools, and give the kit its initial clean up - after I've provided photographic documentary evidence of how it arrives.

Mr Mystery
06-26-2016, 01:10 PM
Ok....first pics time. For now, a bits breakdown of the Sagittar kit itself. Ready?

Nothing in the kit seems too fiddly, and so far the only noticeable warping is on one of the two Volcano Cannon struts. Though there are a few cables which won't be immediately noticeable.

Will get the Beasty cleaned up this evening, and begin dry fitting so I can have a think about what glue will need to be used on which bits.

Mr Mystery
06-27-2016, 04:14 AM
Okay....

Track sections have been cleaned of flash and that, as has the Volcano Cannon and it's mount.

So far, so good. Even though I've not glued owt yet, I'm satisfied the finished product is going to be suitably robust, and may, possibly, not even require pinning! No, really!

And......and I may have just invested in an airbrush, cleaning kit, cleaning pot and other bits. Now off to online shop for suitable paints!

Psychosplodge
06-27-2016, 04:24 AM
Nice.
But do you think this is the best choice to learn to airbrush on?

Maybe buy a cheap tank kit of some sort to give it a shot at before working on your centrepiece?

Mr Mystery
06-27-2016, 04:41 AM
Oh I've got loads to experiment on, and friends well versed who can do tutorials for me.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 01:05 AM
Right....

Airbrush and cleaning stuff should be arriving today - hurrah!

But, that rather natty spray booth? Yeah, apparently not arriving until Monday 4 July....so this weekend shall be another of cleaning and prep-work on the Ordinatus.

Though I should be able to assemble some bits of it - like the Volcano Cannon, which will defo need doing as a single piece. Track sections, not so much because of how they go together.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 01:45 AM
Oh, and I've settled on a paint scheme....I think.

Konor Forgeworld - part of Ultramar, but certainly at the time of the Heresy barely recognised by Mars.

I'm thinking of apeing the Ultramarines scheme, but going a shade darker - so ideally somewhere between Nightlord and Ultramarines. White spot colours, and glossy red face plates on the Kastelan Robots.

Psychosplodge
06-28-2016, 01:46 AM
Needs more red.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 01:50 AM
I'll see how it goes. Thinking the noggin will be white with the red faceplate - but that could look awful. Shall have to wait and see.

Also, undecided whether to go with Blood for the Blood God (nice, deep colour) or the new Gem Red, wot I've also gots.

Psychosplodge
06-28-2016, 01:55 AM
I barely know any of the new paint range tbh.
Go for the darker one.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 02:00 AM
All gonna depend on how it looks.

Oh, and on these guys? Metal is going to be a rich, burnished gold - I envisage the Kastelan as heroes of the Legion, and thus the Chapter that followed. I see no reason they couldn't have been on Calth and fought in the aftermath of the Word Bearer's betrayal.

Question is....can I rapidly source purity seals enough to decorate them?

Psychosplodge
06-28-2016, 02:03 AM
Not a functional silver? That might look better with the blue?

I'd have happily sent you my spares as I barely use them but I stuck them all on one tank to make it over purity sealed.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 02:07 AM
It's alright, I'm going scrounging round my local gaming club. Many Marine players there, so should be lots of purity seals kicking about.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 06:09 AM
Also, need to drop by GW on Thursday to get some new paints.

Pretty much set on a darker hued Ultramarines type scheme - but need to see the paints in person to pick the base, layer and highlight. Trying to do it online just isn't working!

Asymmetrical Xeno
06-28-2016, 06:57 AM
red mechanicum is a bit vanilla so it would be nice to see blue mechanicum!

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 08:04 AM
Kantor Blue base, followed by a Nightshade Thingy wash.

Highlights? Not 100% yet! Possible Macragge blue.

Morgrim
06-28-2016, 10:17 AM
Purity seals are easy to make. Get some suitable paper, cut into strips and then into short segments. Fold roughly in half on an angle. Put a dot of glue on the back, apply to model, let dry. Take a cotton bud and pull all the fluff off one end (soaking it in water helps). Take a little ball of putty or greenstuff, put on the fold of the glued on paper, then use the bare end of the cotton bud to 'stamp' the putty in the middle, making the seal. Allow the putty to dry. Paint.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 12:52 PM
Pfffrt. I'll beg and scrape instead :p

Airbrush arrived today. Small leak on the compressor where the hose connects. I've taped it up with sellotape for the time being, and I'm topping out at 20psi, which should be sufficient for my needs.

If not, I've got plenty Greenstuff I can use to plug the leak.

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 02:57 PM
Nope. Never mind.

The Airbrush is going back.

Kirsten
06-28-2016, 03:29 PM

Mr Mystery

Yup.

Replacement ordered, and I've boxed up the crappy borked one, ready to be taken to a Collect+ place tomorrow after work.

Kirsten

always annoying when it arrives knackered

Mr Mystery
06-28-2016, 04:11 PM
Indeedydoo!

The pressure dropped really quickly when I tested it, so I figured best to pack it off, lest I get frustrated with it and it put me off my mission to paint my bloody armies.

Kirsten
06-28-2016, 04:27 PM
yeah

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 01:30 AM
That sucks. What brand was it?

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 01:46 AM
FoxHunter KMS Airbrush Kit AS18 With Compressor and 2 x Double Action Airbrushes and Hose, according to the returns label.

And this is the replacement I plumped for (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0192X5HFI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I just want to get cracking, dammit! Still, no airbrush or spraybooth until around Monday means I'm free this weekend to help my mate move house.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 01:59 AM
means I'm free this weekend to help my mate move house.

That's always fun.
For me its gone one of two ways. Everything is boxed ready and its done in no time at all. Or the dozy sods are half packed and it takes about eighteen hours.

- - - Updated - - -

I'm going to have to make the effort and get one you know, then a tank army. :D

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 02:01 AM
Thankfully, this is moving from a half-way house type arrangement - so from her Mum's to their new place, so everything is already packed. It's just a 'bung it back in the van and whizz it round' job.

Plus....the delightful Sarah is helping..... I can show off me muscles, innit!

And yes. Airbrush. They are the future of stuff.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 02:16 AM
The delightful Sarah? ;)

Yes stuff is important.

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 02:25 AM
She is sweetly pretty, and seemed to take a shine to me during the disastrous 'two hours and still no main course, sod it we're leaving' dinner last Friday.

She's also Irish, not that that has any bearing on any of it.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 02:33 AM
In the blue-eyed/firey hair style? Or the will be able to get you an EU passport? or both?

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 02:38 AM
Blue-eyed, but not a redhead.

She is a good laugh though, and we have a mutual loathing for her ex which we sort of bonded over.

I think there's another bloke on the horizon, so likely won't go anywhere. Still no reason not to impress her :P

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 02:41 AM

action pumpo!

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 02:48 AM
Would you fit?

Depends how good the elastic is usually....

Erm.... I mean.....so I'm told.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 02:53 AM
Yeah as long as it's not a thong. Not comfortable on the scrotum....so I've heard...

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 02:54 AM
One sneeze in the wrong place and you're sliced for life.

or so I'm lead to believe. I wouldn't know about these things meself

My god - with answers like that, why aren't we politicians?

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 02:59 AM
Because we'd do what we think was right? Also we're outside the "conventional" normal so would stand no chance in an electorate.

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 02:59 AM
We could just pretend to have no morals or scruples and that?

I mean, once we're in, we're in.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 03:01 AM
But I haven't had a proper haircut in eight years and I'd have to shave :(

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 03:04 AM
Boris Johnson doesn't have a proper haircut. Nor a soul, come to think of it.

Just get a fake chin to cover up the chinsquig. It'll be fine!

And in other news....

Still going to GW on Thursday to get some airbrush paints.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 03:07 AM
lols.

Not fancying some of the other ranges of airbrush paints?

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 03:09 AM
I know what I'm doing with GW paints, and I can get hold of them easily if I need more. Got nowt against other brands, but GW's are the most practical choice pour moi.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 03:11 AM
Do the airbrush ones come in dropper bottles?

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 03:22 AM
Nope, but I've got a supply of plastic straws from LARP - dip one end in, cover other with a finger, and you've got a pipette. Do it with tiny amounts, and you can't go far wrong.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 03:27 AM
lols

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 04:15 AM
Plus, if I pull this all off and get confident....next year?

I'm getting a Warlord Titan.....

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 04:22 AM
Do a thunderhawk first.

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 04:37 AM
But I don't play Marines?

I'm a willing conduit of the motive force, and a signed up worshipper of the Omnissiah.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 04:41 AM
But you could get a an allied detachment.

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 04:44 AM
No. No I couldn't.

And if I did, I'd ally with Servitors-In-Waiting.

Or 'Astra Militarum' as they're perhaps better known.

Psychosplodge
06-29-2016, 04:49 AM
Not even Iron hands? Or Sons of Medusa if you fancied green rather than black?

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 05:12 AM
Notheycansodoff.

I want to convert up three Kataphron to have dustpans, brushes and little 'spare parts' trailers to follow my mate's Guardsmen around.

Mr Mystery
06-29-2016, 04:29 PM
And now I'm leftstressing about how I'll get on painting non-Caucasian skin.

Not for me Mechanicus, natch, as there's little enough flesh on show, and what there is is quite understandably pallid.

More my AoS stuff. It's got an increasingly diverse background, and I want to reflect that.

Except rather than

Mr Mystery
06-30-2016, 01:37 AM
Oh, and the extractor spray booth thing appeared early.

I've had a quick play, and I must say it's really rather nice, and should be the very dab for the job at hand.

Will give it a formal try today, by undercoating something (might be a Kastelan, might be a Knight. I just dunno!)

Mr Mystery
06-30-2016, 03:34 PM
Knackers, ring pieces and indeed, RATS *****!

Thwarted again! Local GW doesn't stock the individual air paints - so had to place a mail order.

*sigh* really wanted to make a start this weekend as well.

But....I have gone done dug out my existing paints. Apart from a Runefang Steel which had opened itself, all in good nick and ready to go. Also got far more of the current range than I thought, which is useful.

Mr Mystery
07-01-2016, 05:26 AM
New Airbrush has seemingly arrived. This is good! Shame I don't have any air paints yet though - may just thin a standard one down for purposes of experimentation.

Psychosplodge
07-01-2016, 05:37 AM
Finish early and call at that excellent model shop in nodnol on your way home?

Mr Mystery
07-01-2016, 05:46 AM
Can't. It's way too far to walk, and being Friday, I'm shattered!

Mr Mystery
07-02-2016, 07:03 AM
And?

It works! Oh glory be, I'm 99% set to get cracking! A good bit behind my initial timescale, but not for lack of trying.

Reckon I might get a cheapy box of those three part Maureens for practice purposes - I'd prefer to risk wrecking disposable than Calth Marines.

Mr Mystery
07-03-2016, 11:36 PM
Right then.

As of Sunday expect, nay demand actual picture updates.

My paints will have arrived, and my friend is coming round to show me the ropes on airbrushing. So after 9 pages, and shockingly little procrastination, I ought to have something for your viewing delectation!

Psychosplodge
07-04-2016, 01:33 AM
But we're only on page three :p

Mr Mystery
07-04-2016, 02:17 AM
Weirdo.

Reckon I might jump the gun and spray up a Knight tonight....undercoat and Leadbelcher spray. Luvverly.

Psychosplodge
07-04-2016, 02:20 AM
Start with the three marines like you said.

Mr Mystery
07-04-2016, 02:23 AM
Nah. This is 'out of a spray can' spraying, which I'm quite competent at. If I can get the main structure of the Knight's sprayed, the rest will be easy to finish up.

Psychosplodge
07-04-2016, 02:24 AM
Oh. :D

Mr Mystery
07-04-2016, 02:34 AM
Though having said that...I will give the airbrush a whizz for doing the Nuln Oil. I've got the gloss one, and to be honest, given it's a wash not that much can go wrong!

Mr Mystery
07-04-2016, 05:56 AM
Also pretty much sold on Tamiya Clear paints......

Have ordered the Clear Blue, and a pot of thinners from Firestorm Games.

Hopefully, I'll have them by the weekend.

Mr Mystery
07-05-2016, 02:20 AM
And my mate wot works with window vinyl is going to see about making me some stencils, so I can purdy up my Knights with fetching chequer board patterns etc.

Psychosplodge
07-05-2016, 02:35 AM
Nice.

Mr Mystery
07-05-2016, 03:17 AM
Yarp.

Oh, it's all starting to come together.

Tonight, clean and build the remaining 20 Calth Marines, perhaps undercoat the stuff I've built.

Mr Mystery
07-05-2016, 02:20 PM
Knight superstructures now under coated!

Shall give it half an hour, then go do their basecoat. Yay Leadbelcher spray!!

Mr Mystery
07-05-2016, 02:56 PM
And in a display of more painting than I've done in the past two years, four Knight super structures under and base coated.

Need to get some bits to do the armour plates - corks and blu tack mainly.

Tomorrow? Drybrushing Stormcast Silver.

Asymmetrical Xeno

Taken in Mystery Industry's patented Crap-O-Vision....

Mud Duck
07-06-2016, 01:33 PM
Is that the Amazon spray booth in the second picture?
If so, how's it working out? Good, Bad, or indifferent?

Mr Mystery
07-06-2016, 11:02 PM
It's great! Captures all the spray, if not the whiffs, but still a million miles from accidentally gassing myself.

For anyone who lives in a country at the mercy of tempremental weather, I can highly recommend one. Spesh with the spinny base thing, makes under and base coating an absolute doddle, allowing us to paint faster than ever before.

Mr Mystery
07-08-2016, 05:53 PM
Right. Arse all done since, because tired, and Friday night is pub night.

Shall crack on and do a clever/industrious tomorrow.

Mr Mystery
07-09-2016, 04:54 PM
And the Ordinatus has had a de-release agent scrub.

Assembly begins tomorrow!

Mr Mystery
07-10-2016, 05:37 AM
Assembly!

Two main sub-assemblies so far - rear tractor unit command Dias, and the Volcano Cannon.

Mr Mystery
07-10-2016, 02:57 PM
This is such a nice kit to work with - will almost certainly be getting the Ulator as well, at some point.

Kirsten
07-10-2016, 03:48 PM
nice

Mr Mystery
07-10-2016, 03:49 PM
It's a right beast in size, but I'm really looking forward to painting it. Track assemblies should be really quick and easy.

Kirsten
07-10-2016, 03:51 PM
yeah, it does look cool

Mr Mystery
07-10-2016, 03:54 PM
Plus, it's about as built as I can build it without painting.

I have Wednesday off, so shall get cracking with undercoat and basecoat Tuesday night.

Kirsten
07-10-2016, 03:57 PM
always having days off you

Mr Mystery
07-10-2016, 10:53 PM
Good, innit! Though I do now only have 2.5 left until the end of the year...

Mr Mystery

Oh. And here's a scaling shot, with a Calth Maureen.

Very phallic

Mr Mystery

Well, it's there to 'eff' all your tanks, so largely appropriate.

And ain't nobody can accuse the Mechanicus/Mechanicum of not over compensating. I mean, look at all the mechadendrites and the general 'enhancements'.....

Using Cain as a reference I like to believe they're mostly used as a seat.

Are you suggesting that the infamous 'Sit On It' at Al's Diner was in fact the work of a time travelling Magos??

Psychosplodge

It's entirely possible

Gonna get some masking liquid to speed up the basecoating. Then it's undercoat black, basecoat Leadbelcher, mask off the areas that are staying Leadbelcher, then get cracking with Kantor Blue out the airbrush.

Once my thinners have arrived of course!

Last bit of dry fitting done.

Rest of this build is gonna be a doddle!

It's a really, really nice kit to work with.

Front and rear tracks are now in the process of being under coated, ready for a more thorough painting sesh on Wednesday.

So ready to get my paint on!

Currently resisting the temptation to UNDERCOAT ALL THE THINGS, and instead do it in managable steps.

First? Ordinatus. That's 700 points out the way.

Second? Knights. These'll be Tamiya Cleared, so will either take no time at all, or yonks.

Third? Tot up my painted points, and round off to 3,000 with other stuff, ready for when we Apocalypse in Nottinghams around November.

Right.

Fore and rear track sections under and base coated in Leadbelcher. Quick trip to GW tomorrow evening to grab some regular Kantor Blue, then the rest shall be done on Friday night / Saturday.

Looking into how to paint plasma closed for the main cannon's mounting point, which I'll put a layer of Gloss over to give the impression of Windows into the plasma reactor. Yes.

Wonders might never cease! Finer extracted, good start made on my Knights.

looking good

Done a bit more detailing - highlights on the blue, and some brassy gold spots to break up the steel on one of them.

Second will get brassy gold tonight, and I'll likely under and base coat the main Dakkas.

Also - loving GW's current brushes. Semi-flat, and a wee bit stiffer than the previous ones. Gives me much more control, which is nice.

Shall also see about getting the tracks for the Ordinatus done this week. Shouldn't take too long, and I need it painted for our trip to Warhammer World in Nottinghams, where I fully intend to figure out some evil, nasty, vicious way to give it interceptor...

Still toying with painting the toes Kantor Blue - but I think I might wait until I've got the leg plating on, as it might prove a bit much?

Kirsten

what you paint your toes is nobody else's business, go for it...

Mr Mystery

Really need to leave the tootsies as is until I've got the armour plates painted and attached.

Kirsten

yeah, easy enough to wait and see

Mr Mystery

Yarp.

For my next trick, I'll need to dig out my sprues, and procure blutak, possibly corks, so I can get the plating done. After that, completion shouldn't take long at all.

Mr Mystery

Made a start on the main weapons tonight - first two under coated, just hoping my spray holds out for the other two, as its feeling a little on the low side...

Mr Mystery
08-20-2016, 01:55 PM
All main weapons under and base coated, remaining sprues dug out, and the armour plating clipped and trimmed, awaiting a new can of Chaos Black, as I gone done run out.

With any luck, I'll have them done a week on Tuesday (delay as I'm LARPing at the weekend)

Mr Mystery

Right....armour plates under and base coated, and now attached to the Knights, making them look significantly bulkier.

Hope to have the majority painted by Thursday, all depends on what the journey home from work is like on those days.

Mr Mystery

Lalalala! PROGRESS!

All that remains is a bit more brass detailing here and there (leaving it until late so I can spot colour well)

Really quite chuffed with the current state. It's fairly basic, but I've kept it neat, and managed to get good coating.

Kirsten

Nuln Oil over Leadbelcher Spray = ded cheety.

Have also now got Tamiya Clear Blue, so the Ordinatus shouldn't take me long at all at all.

Kirsten

good plan

Mr Mystery
09-04-2016, 11:03 AM
Carapace and Pauldrons are now inked and being left to dry. After that, light drybrush with Stormcast Silver, then Kantor Blue....

So close to finishing, barring the bases.

Mr Mystery
09-05-2016, 02:11 AM
Didn't quite finish the job last knight....

One Knight's pauldrons are done, and about 50% of the carapace. The other still needs that bit doing entirely.

Soon! Probably tomorrow night, as tonight is Civil War, yes?
