Hello Everybody!
I'm having a little 1000pt tournament with my freinds and will be fielding a vanilla marines list.The armies i will be playing against could be any in the range, as between them my freinds cover the lot - which means i need a fairly versatile list. Would you please have a look at this list see what improvements can be made to it, and provide any alternative ideas:
~space marine captain - 130pts
w/ relic blade
(attached to drop pod tac. sqd.)
~10 man tactical squad - 235pts
w/ power fist, m. melta, melta gun
(mounted in drop pod, combat squaded to seperate m. melta)
~10 man tactical squad - 240pts
w/ power fist, flamer, rocket launcher
(combat squaded, sgt/flam. mounted in razorback w/t.l. heavy bolters)
~2 X 5 man scout squad - 150pts
w/ sniper rifles
(on foot at first, using infiltrate to pick a good spot)
~2 X land speeder storm - 130pts
w/ multi melta
~3 man attack bike squad - 120pts
w/ heavy bolters
(all games will be played on a 4'x4' board,w/ randomley generated scenarios)
the idea is that the captain w/ the tactical squad drops straight into the middle of the enemy providing a distraction, the land speeders use their scout move to zip up the table and pop vehicles as possible, while the razorback/scouts/attack bikes pummel or pin units.
Then if they are still going at the end of the game, then the land speeders will be used to drop any scouts onto objectives.
p.s. i had been contemplating taking a librarian in term. armour in place of the captain, and using the spare 5pts to put a melta gun in my secong tactical squad.
