Greetings everyone
We are currently developing a Warhammer 40K mod for the upcoming space 4X game Stellaris by Paradox Interactive. We feel that Stellaris can be a solid basis to re-create the Warhammer 40K universe in all its glory, both because of its intricacy as well as its scale.
Our goals are to create a functional and balanced mod, that can be played both in Singleplayer and Multiplayer. We have made it one of our main objectives that we will include both the major players and as many minor races we can add. We want to diversify each major faction and represent each facet consisting it (so for example, we'd like to split up the Imperium into the Adeptus Terra, the Adeptus Mechanicum and the Adeptus Astartes sub-empires; or we'd like to represent each Chaos warband as a separate faction, distinct from each other and distinct from Renegade warbands).
Our team has been developing mods for various games for 7 years now, mainly on Warcraft 3, as well as other Paradox titles. Most of us are ardent fans of the Warhammer 40K universe. Our experience and dedication gives us enough confidence to undertake this challenging project and we believe we can succeed in delivering a 40K mod that can make the Emperor proud.
Of course the game itself hasn't come out yet, but we are so dedicated in creating the best mod possible that we have already started defining our goals and design decisions.
As such, we'd like to invite you to participate in the process, in any capacity you feel like. Whether you'd like to merely observe or give your own input and suggestions or help us create content would be very much appreciated.
We are currently looking for artists that would be willing to help us create portraits, flags, event pictures and 3D models of ships and stations. Any coders and testers willing to give us a hand are most welcome. If you feel you can contribute in any other capacity, you are also welcome.
