Finally the mysterious aelves - very few but with a lot of magical knowledge and Monster they have learned to tame.

You already know about sylvaneth and stormcast, seraphon and fireslayer the book have all the warscroll plus a selection of formations.
But that is only the tip of the iceberg 280 - pages covering 16 old factions from : Devoted (fantatics), free people milicia, Battlemage, 10 aelves faction, Darkling covens, phoenix temple. Even if the elves are in order alliance they follow mysterious ways and are an autonomous force. And the Ironweld arsenal - human canons and duardin steamtanks ....

Ooooh....I kind of like that Spear.

Distinctly average against bog standard stuff, but pretty daunting for a character - these chap could drop even the terrifyingly hard Archaon in a single round...potentially. Against pretty much anyone else, definitely someone for the bog standard to deal with. Ideally at range.

I like two of the three Khorne guys, but the barechested dude looks like bad Rob Liefeld art. Maybe if you're going for a cartoonish look, that succeeds, but "finest miniatures in the world" shouldn't include such items. Other two are nice, though.

I'll grab the GA: Order book to go with my others. It'll be interesting to see how the mixes go. Just slapped a bunch more dwarfs on bases. I won't rebase my Empire models, but heck, if I can throw out an artillery force, I'm game. Just have to remind my opponent that there's good reasons not to just agree to run X number of warscrolls, and war machines are one of those reasons. Usually you're only doing D6 or 2D6 damage if you manage to hit, they're not quite as effective as lining up handgunners and having at it. Elf combinations might be interesting, too.

Agreed, they sound like they have a lot of potential for kits - perhaps even kits that include both humans and duardin in them too. Hopefully more weirder fantasy warmachines too.

yeah, I would be tempted to grab some bits and pieces but to be honest I think I will just embrace Age of Sigmar and wait until new stuff comes out. might get a plastic steam tank just because I have always wanted one, but we shall see.

I wonder if thats a sign of things to come, they'd fit well in the destruction alliance and id love to see them back properly. Hopefully with some backround tweaks to remove certain things.

don't know that they would be a faction, but they would make a cool unit for somebody at the very least. I love Forge World's faerie tale monsters, I'll take creepy folk lore over high fantasy any day.
