I like it, it seems the Extremis Chamber is the Stormcast equivilent of Chaos' Everchosen. I dig the space effect on the wings of that middle one.

Most of it looks pretty impressive but I the pose of the wings looks pretty odd to me.

I don't really like the concept of an armored dragon.
If it's a dragon, why would it need such a goofy armor?

Lets not panic before we get the 360 view option. :)

Becuase even dragons are not immune to damage. :)
So it makes perfect sense to protect the areas most likely to get hit.
- just like the empire griffon. :)

Griffons have no impenetrable scales.

True. But fluff wise, it looks like the plating could save them both from a cannonball. :)

Sure. But it's a bit like the concept of centurion, a space marine in a power armour within another armour.
A dragon with adamantium like scales protected by another layer of armour just to be sure. The concept leaves me cold. It's completely over the top but in a ludicrous way.The breast plate looks awkward. The miniature makes my eyes bleed.
To each its own.

Seriously? 4 Star Drakes and at least 26 Dracoth's (that I can count in the pic, the battallion may well require more of them), so 4 boxes of the dragon and at least 13 of the Dracoth Cavalry... who in their right mind is ever going to field that?

I know, people will discount my opinion because I'm not always rainbows and sunshine... but I really don't like that dragon. At all.
The Dracoths were tolerable, though they continued to show off that either GW's computer design is seriously limited, their sculptors are just awful, or they've made a conscious decision to do some really stupid stuff, like the way too blocky toes. The current painting team (who don't deserve to be called "'Eavy Metal" aren't helping with all the edge highlighting that helps point out when the sculpting is too blocky. (It's even crazier when you see a model like the Glottkin, which has nice smooth curves all around, meaning they *can* do it.)
While the one thing keeping me most away from Dracoths is the price (seriously, $65 for two cavalry, who GW clearly expects you to field in units of more than two or four?), this model's whole look is pushing me away.
It's got the standard issues with the poorly sculpted toes and such causing angles and lines where there shouldn't be any. But then add those "wings" that don't look right at all. The legs seem to be coming out at odd angles. And that armor... Holy moly. I'm not opposed to any kind of armor, but here it just looks goofy. The ankle protection looks like it'd actually get in the way of moving the ankle properly. The bits on the wings are restricting the wings' ability to extend to their full width, so I can't imagine how the thing would be expected to fly. The armor on the neck means it can't actually lower its head much, certainly not enough to bite anything. It feels like a junior grade sculptor's attempt to make something "neat" while having no idea how any of that stuff works, and GW decided that slapping the GW name and price tag on it would automatically make it a "premium product."
That they're clearly borrowing inspiration from D&D's dragons for the Star Drakes and Norwegian Death Metal Lizards is kind of funny, because a lot of the blowing everything up and making up stupid new names for stuff that only diehard GW lovers will use (my Orcs will always be Orcs, and the Board can stuff it up their rumps if they think otherwise) was to have "unique" IP they could "protect" better... and then they just go with generic fantasy ideas or taking someone else's look for models. The one good thing about that is that you can get some really nice looking dragons that blow these away for a lot less, and will fit perfectly in their place.
And yeah, price is the elephant on the wall. Especially when they seem to want you to buy multiples... even though we can see that once again they didn't feel like putting in the effort to make the poses modifiable, so the only way to make models look slightly different is with different gear and a different paint job. When you've got multiple models sized and priced to be centerpiece models, it looks bad when they look the same.

G-Dub's target audience. Or TweedleBeetle, but we can discount him because you asked "who in their right mind."
Heck, that number of Dracoths alone is $845.
To be fair, it might be something like 2-5 Star Drakes and X units of Dracoths with them just throwing more guys into each unit to make it look more impressive. That's still a base price of around $300, but not as obscene as over $1000.

Field it? No way, that many models would be a boring game for me, own one? Yep, and I'm definitely not the only one I know of. (Minotaurs 5th Company plus half the 1st and a few Scouts)

Hmm... The one has a much superior paint job to the other(s) shown. That seems to carry forth a trend that's noticeable in the Chaos and Death GA books (the painting guys are pretty inconsistent on quality, or even the methods used to paint a model).
Still, it just looks like a lot of bad ideas went into making the model.
And then tack on a $140 price tag? Nope. Nope, nope, nope.

I think it looks great in the new pics. :)
If they brought back the old world, redid the armor to look elvish and put a high elf on top, I would buy it in a heartbeat. :)
