I don't post must think starting this it will be my second post and I'm starting a Space Marine army after a long time avoiding them, I have Necrons, Daemons, and Chaos marines so im starting this thread to hopefully keep me motivated to paint and to work on this project any ways here it goes.
I will start by saying I will be using the Blood Angels codex for this army which I think fits after I tell you some background Info. so Sons of Sekhmet, Sekhmet is the destructive Sun Goddess of Egypt. Egyptians knew that the Sun brought life, but they also knew that the desert Sun could kill you.
Ra, the Sun God, was angry with mankind, because they laughed at him. He said that he'd send down his anger as Sekhmet, the Eye of Ra. She went down to Earth, killing men, and drinking their blood.
so using blood angels fits I think and going by history she was portrayed with the head of a lion.
I have a paint scheme thats Enchanted Blue main color and bleached bone as secondary my chapter symbol will be a silhouette of a lions head
and for everyone except tac marines and scouts I will be using the Helmets (http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=870) from Scibor, I will also be using the lion Shoulder Pads (http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=871) from them as well
and I'm Currently working on a codex cover to use instead of the god awful BA one Will post pics soon of a painted tac marine to show the color scheme and the picture of the codex my assault marines will all have the jump pack with wings from the sanguinary guard (Egyptians had the Sphinx)
so what do guys think how does it sound so far, what other egyptian elements could I use my green stuff abilities isn't that great.
P.S. Very tight budget so this will be a slow moving project.
