Gladiator-looking parts

Hello there,

I'm cruising for possible ideas to make my Ultramarines Chapter Champion look more like a gladiator than the standard issue knight look. Right now, I have the following parts in mind to make him:

Sanguinary Guard "Muscle" Torso
Two Power Weapons, one cut down to look like a dagger to count as a combat shield

I can't think of any helmet that looks sufficiently, "gladiator" outside of a bare head or one of the Chaos Knight heads. I could optionally go for the "Tigris of Gaul" (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kUiKkNDIwhU/SkVJ-pTUJxI/AAAAAAAAARI/B199WUGDrUg/s200/T1.jpg) look with one of the Death Mask heads, but that might make him look too much like a Sanguinary Guard.

Anyone help?

Play around with brass rods and make some tridents. Aside from the torso armor, some gladiator style helmets and custom weapons would complete the look, I think.

the vanguard veterans have a REALLY gladiator sword (curved handle with gem!) and the head could be a wolf bear head!!

this might be good insparation!!
