Another crack at the comic market, this time courtesy of Titan Comics (http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/exclusive-new-warhammer-40000-comics-arriving-in-september)

No word yet on the titles, but I'm hoping for a Warhammer Monthly style anthology. Mostly because it works really well for 2000AD, and that's my favourite comic ever.

Seems like it'll be various stories set in the universe, but probably not multiple pieces of stories per issue like WHM (or anything outside the 40K universe). That might actually help, though. Even if it spends a few issues on a story before jumping to another, that would make it easier for someone to jump in reading it.

Hopefully it'll make it to the shelves of my local comic shop (which is also my game shop of choice at the moment).

That's the joy of the 2000AD format - ease of access. It's a very rare issue that doesn't have a new tale starting, and most contain one shot stories to boot.

And with that, you can trial dozens of characters and strips in quite rapid succession. If they're a hit, yay! Go do more of that. Lukewarm reception, or outright negative reception? Little harm done by compassion.

I would love for them to do something that interesting.

Which is why I'm hopeful it will be an anthology mag. That allows for crowd pleaser and the more creative style of story.

Me? I'd read just about anything, but in particular would love to see a series charting the life of a Space Marine recruit and their trials.
