Traitor Chaos Imperial Guard winter-themed army by Awaken Realms

Hello,

It’s time for a new project – this time Imperial Guard army with some Chaos flavor. This is however not some rag-tag force of traitors and mutants, but the elite force of veterans and Stormtroopers from an ice-world, hardened in the harsh environment and experienced in many campaigns.

The paint is nice, I would clean up the red on the forearms of the Stormtroopers, but Chaos? Huummm. Nope. The models still have their imperial markings and they're not desecrated in any way, the only thing that sez Chaos is the banner. You could just paint up a second "imperial banner" and sell this lot as an army that swings both ways.

Like everyone else has said; brilliantly painted army but not really chaos. the banner alone looks to be the only chaos bit from a glance (and even then it's topped with an Aquila).

It’s time for an update. What a Guard army (loyal or traitor) can be without some tanks?

And answering the questions, it was meant to be done with minor Chaos incursions, with presence of the Imperial imagery. Not every traitor army is the bunch of possessed madmans. Perhaps this regiment is associated with Alpha Legion, what would justify the presence of both Imperial and Chaos imagery?

Are you sure those are sandbags? Look closer to couch cushions to me. Too uniform in size and distribution of the sand inside them. Plus you have the bags on the Hydra resting on the vehicle's track.
Loving the paint, and the magnetic extra armor and sponsons are a nice touch.
