Been meaning to work on this guy for some time. Finally after moving I was able to begin today. I plan on using some pig iron heads to round this guy out. More than likely it will be one heads that has a respirator. I was thinking of adding some tubes going from the respirator to the converted vox. I figured they would not only carry oxygen to the Priest but would work to carry his voice to the Loud Speakers. Hopefully thats what they are for if not they are now haha. So without further ado here we go....

I added the shotgun just so in the event I decided to give him one i could without having to create another model. I hope this works for tourny's and such. I really just didn't want to make two only to use one all the time. I'm sure as long as the other player knows it shouldn't be a problem. So what do ya'll think....

Looking good, can't wait to see his head. Are you going to use the Bright Wizard head?

The one I have has a holstered pistol, a shottie on his back and big chainsword that could be a ccw or an eviscerator.

Thanks for all the comments I appreciate it. As far as the head goes I was thinking of using some of pig irons stuff.

More than likely I will use the one from the top row 4th from the right. The one with the respirator and the strap that goes over the middle of the head. I thought of maybe running some tubes to the vox from the respirator one on each side. I dunno just a thought i'll see once I get the head on there which one will work best.

And yes the bodes are of the Empire Battle wizard set. The hammer end is from some dwarf set i purchased from an ebay bits store. Using Imperial Icons I was able to cover all the dwarf symbols. Lastly I meant to purchase some kind of Backpack banner from a space marine set. would this be overkill or would it add that list bit of flavor to the model.

I think the back banner would be overkill, as it would be competing with the upraised hammer for attention.

Nice conversion so far!

Yeah thats kinda what i was thinking aswell. I may just add some more purity seals to the hammer possibly and to the robe aswell. That and are there any Imperial Icon decals that are small that way I don't have to free hand paint those bad boys on the book or on the parchments. I've checked my IG decal sheets and didn't see any black ones?

Looking good so far, although I'm not sure on the placement of the backpack, I can't tell if it's just the photo without a head on him but it looks like it's slung on his shoulder.

Excellent work though mate.

Yeah It was placed just a tad high. This was so the hose's from the respirators could be easily converted running strait into the vox. I'm hoping the head and the hose's will draw the attention away from the somewhat high placement of the converted vox. Only time will tell if this idea proved desirable or workable for that matter. I'm hoping that it does though haha....

wow been a long time since i've updated this. Holy crap. needless to say this project was sidelined until I could purchase the heads. With t he coming this last week i quickly went to work. Not complete quite yet i still need some references to some Imperial Iconography. I used a little but just enough to keep it subtle on the model itself. I will be doing another I on the other side of the model once I get the other side of the model with the book that will be in the right arm. Took a series of pics this morning so my Commissar is tossed in there. There is still a ton to be done but here is at least an update.

Very cool idea and I like the execution. The holstered pistol was a perfect and very simple way to really bring the wizard model into the Imperial Guard.

Thanks for the compliment on it. Yeah it was a very subtle addition that really brought the model into the 40k very easily.

posting this prior to going to work. The conversion is pretty much done. I few touch ups are needed but nothing major. Finished converting the shotgun just needs to be painted and set on the model. Other than that it be done.
