Heya fellow miniature hobbiests, i've collected Warhammer40k in the past when i was arround 16 or so and because of school and the costs i desided to quit, never to return to it again. Just recently i found my old box and started surfing the internet and got really interested again. I desided i never felt good with the armies i had which were the ones i got with the start kit (Space Marines vs Dark Eldar.. ye that old) so i'm going to start an Eldar army. But.. before i do i'm going to get the hang of it again and repaint and remodel my old mini's because honestly.. they look horrible. I've gained more skill and knowledge over the years in painting and modelling and have a more realistic view on it. So without delaying you guys more, pictures say more than words.

Cover your eyes because it's going to hurt! :P

Imagine all Dark Eldars having those color scemes (Dark green, Metal highlights & Dark Blue, Metalic Magenta) yeah, i am pretty ashamed of it.

Aaaand the new color scheme for my Dark Eldar W.I.P:

Also im focussing more on customising and such so i'm starting to practice with Green Stuff:

Anyways thats all for now, i will post more pictures tomorrow when i added more detail and a better overall paintjob for the Dark Eldars.
Feel free to critique, im always keen to improve and learn more.
I'm well aware im not one of the best painters arround but i do my best and whats most important i enjoy doing it :)

Cheers Lycadon!

Quik update on the Dark Eldars:
Retouched the dark areas where it had turqouise smudges and little mistakes. Painted the Weapons and added some tiny details on the small armor parts - I'll post better more detailed pictures when they are fully done. Untill than:

Thanks for the comment TheHman, i'm quite suprised by the outcome aswell for my first attempt at Green Stuff.

Well probably the last update before the final result, all that remains are some minor touch ups/fixes and here and there some final touches enjoy!

And a close, close-up where you can see what needs to be painted up for the final result:

Not so much painting today, touched the little errors and bits up afterwards i've been messing arround with Green Stuff again. Made up a little Serpent Clan theme for my handfull of Dark Eldar troops. Made a mask for one of the bare-faced models (pretty much cause i don't like bare faces and it also adds some mystery to the whole race in my opinion), a small Cloak and a piece of cloth around the waiste of one model. So here are the pictures:

*Note: These are going to be repainted*

And when i got bored and had some left over Green Stuff i did a drastic make-over on one of my ugliest SM characters, Sgt. Ruffus Transvesto:

Quik update, removed the serpents (arround the gun an hand) was a bit over the top and doesnt fit in 40k.

Hope ya'll enjoy!

I definitely like the new paint scheme better than the old. Looks nice and clean. That's a pretty nice looking tattered cape, too. Turned out very well. Lots of stuff like that and that'll be one nice looking army.

Thanks DarkLink :)

@ Captainmiserable; i use vallejo paint so i'm not sure what the Citadel name for it is.
Vallejo Paint: Jade Green
Citadel Paint: Hawk Turqouise - but thats my wild guess.

- I started out with a darkened turquoise with 1 drop of Chaos black, drybrushed it with Jade Green/Hawk Turqouise 100%, than added highlights with a tad bit of Turqouise mixed with White.

Hope thats helpfull and thank you both for the comments!

@ Archimbald; Cheers, glad you like them :) Feel free to use my ideas for inspiration, on one condition... please post them on these forums so we can all see them in all their glory :D. Dark Eldar isn't showing its face lately, would be interesting to see something else other than the Space Marines etc, hehe.

PS: I will post an update once i completely finnished all the Dark Eldar, thats aprox 6 models left and a few minor details on the previous ones.

I finally finnished the Dark Eldar this week but didn't had time to make and upload pictures. I noticed some minor errors needed to be fixed like a paint stripe on the armor or something like that. Altough those minor fixes aren't worthy of making new pics again, so here they are my finnished Dark Eldar Warrior batch!

The bases are something i will do later when im more practised with it. For now.. its finally time to make my Eldar Army :D
