make up?

Does anyone know any good techniques for painting make-up? I was gonna go with mixing flesh toned paint with the colour of the make up and maybe go over it again with some light ink. I'm painting a load of escher at the moment so the more vulgar and garish the better.

I'd recommend lining the eyes with a purple color instead of black and then painting the lips a stand-out color like blue or black. Maybe even bright green.
