I was wondering if the GW hobby saw is any good or if I should look elsewhere. Thanks for the help.

You should definitely look elsewhere. Most places that sell tools you should be able to pick up a much better razor saw for about half the cost of the GW one.

Depending on the type of work you need to do you may want to invest in a "jewelers saw" availible at most speciality hardware stores gives precise cuts even in metal minatures

I've always been a great fan of the Dremel...there's a blade for every need.

The GW Hobby Saw is excellent quality with a very fine blade that will cause minimal loss of material to the item being cut. However, it has one drawback over similar saws made by companies like X-acto and that is that the blade cannot be replaced when it gets old and dull.

HELL YES. I love my Dremel. It's a gift from the gods of convenience and ease and sharpening your chainsaw blades instead of buying new ones.:D
