I apologize if there is already a thread open talking about this.
I was browsing the GW website and noticed a significant price increase on the Ghostkeel(75 to 90 USD) and Stormsurge(150 to 180 USD) and every boxed set that includes these two models has been raised in price as well.
Obviously, no one wants to hear that the price has already gone up, the models are barely even announced. Can anyone confirm that maybe the initial pricing was maybe a promotional price for pre-orders?
I'm interested in at least acquiring one of each of the new models, mainly because I enjoy painting nice models. I don't have much incentive to buy the stormsurge for gameplay reasons, since I won't often be playing enough games that are high enough point cap to justify it(I'm on the fence about it, I like mobility). If anything, I'd break it out every now and then, but expect it to sit on the shelf most of the time.
The Ghostkeel I want to paint and will likely play much more often.
That having been said, I was already hesitant with the initial pricing, so you can imagine the new pricing gives me even more pause. I don't like being the guy that complains about pricing for a hobby that is already potentially expensive, but I can't be the only one who thinks badly of GW already hiking their prices on these models(seems cliche, I know).(Once again, maybe it was promotional pricing...)
What do you guys think?
