Space wolves Pack markings??

Just wondering how the Wolf guard pack markings are done.As to my knowledge the wolf guard are selected at random by their wolf lord for various acts of valor if so wouldnt their pack markings be different instead of all the same just taking the wolf guards colors.
Shoot me down if im wrong be this is how i see it and am waiting to find out before having to re-paint them.

Easiest way to handle this is to not do pack markings. Consider that these guys are the best of the best, so chances are they have plenty of personal heraldry or honour marks to put on their pauldron.

Your call, really. Of all the Space Marine chapters, the Wolves are the last one you should be applying paint scheme 'rules' to. Feel free to paint a mix of symbols/markings if you want - the Wolf Codex shows them as similar in design to Grey Hunter markings, but in black and yellow.
