Just got told by someone who has seen the next two white dwarves that next weekends preorder, not this weekend is Skarbrand, apparently he is a named Bloodthirster, big £80 and is an outcast as he was tricked into attacking Khorne by Tzeentch

Don't like grindy's hat but his 'help, help, my toaster's on fire' flailings are quite fun.

Priesty's quite understated, I like it, though he appears to reverse the trend that higher rank means hair.

I might have to get one just so I can replace the end of his flail with a toaster with green stuff flames sculpted on it, because that imagery is too funny.

I honestly don't think the green stuff is required.

It might be a mighty toaster of khorne, but that is plainly a toaster.

I may just be that I've spent a week rinsing the Mad Max game (its excellent!) but the Slaughterpriest has a certain 'War Boy' look about him. I think it's the shoulder armour. Paint it matte black, and it could pass for Tyres.

Yep, there's a lot of scope for fun conversion from such a solid base.

Still want to see the Skullgrinder in the flesh. It looks like they've gone for a fairly dynamic pose to suggest the Anvil has real heft, but I can't tell if it's a dodgy sculpt, or just poor camera angles - or indeed a mix of both.

If the head is separate, and could be replaced with one from the End Times dudes, that may help it.

I've had a read of the rules, and they're quite fun. Skullgrinder is an ace addition, once he's squelched a Hero or Monster - though still not completely sold on the model. Headswap is possible, but not as straightforward as is hoped.

khorne isn't usually my cuppa but I do really like that slaughterpriest, love the chains embedded in his back, would look even better with some of the blood paint added in.

I guess he was a bit new to ditch, but the Khorne stuff was my least favorite of End Crimes.

I can recommend giving 'The Solace of Rage' a read. £2.49, and portrays actually quite sympathetic Khornate characters, who are otherwise incredibly, incredibly dull.
