drop pod deepstrike

I am new to the game and I have a question.

If I put my space wolf termies in a drop pod can they assault after the drop pod has landed? The drop pod doesn't move on the terrain and the vehicle rules say if a vehicle doesn't move you can assault.

NO and No.
I'm pretty sure you can't put termies in a drop pod. And the drop pod rules specifically state you can not assult the turn you drop, unless you have a rule specifically stating that you can

I don't see anything in the codex that prevents wolf guard terminators from taking a drop pod (feel free to correct me if I'm missing something, though). As for assaulting out of a drop pod, that's a no. Re-read page 47 of your codex under Drop Pod Assault.

The drop pod landing (and opening) counts as the move, therefore you can't assault out of it.

SW Wolf Guard in Tactical Dreadnought Armor take up two positions in the drop pod (as opposed to power armored Marines, which take up one position. So, you can fit five SW TDA in the drop pod (or four TDA and two PA Marines, or three TDA and four PA, or two TDA and six PA, or one TDA and eight PA). That allows you to throw Logan and an eight man squad of Wolf Guard in power armour together in a drop pod, if you wanted.

the embarked unit can disembark but not move.

they can however shoot or run in the shooting phase.

they may not assault (unless stated otherwise - like the lucius(?) pattern dreadnought drop-pod)

just thought I'd summarise it

these may be superceded by codex space marines, i dont have that codex so the drop pod may have special rules which modify these basic rulebook ones.
