Yeah, the GW kits tend to look more cartoon-evil to me, where as these look more gruesome and nastier which I prefer. It mentions the blade the bodyguards bear are xenos in origin - wonder if they are from some fallen minor race...interesting

I love the bare arm with the painted on blood in the hand. Clearly he just performed some nasty ritual.

I'm not a chaos player but that's what i want chaos to look like.
I like the visual of 40k alot and picturing my space marines or my future admech on the other side of a table facing a chaos force that looks like these models would be very... visually stimulating.
