Need help with Skitarii model painting

Im new to painting and have no knowledge on artistic techniques. I have recently finished my 1st Vanguard and something seems to not be working. I dont know if its to many colors or what. Any help? tips?

Can you be more specific in what you're trying to achieve that you feel you aren't? For somebody self-professed as "new to painting," I think this looks rather good. I can't really see something that "doesn't work," if you will.

If there's an advanced technique you need help with, let anyone on here know and most of us will be glad to add our three cents worth!
