This is a fluff question as well as a tactical question to add to my current growing harlequin army well I was reading both books and it looks like from a fluff perspective they are very similar in the way they work with some difference I guess to make them not the same army but they both hunt and hate chaos they both are very hidden away but harlequins are more open about there existence then grey knights.
So for instance would they team up or use each other for there personal gain?

I'm not sure if I've read any fluff in which Harlequins have communicated/actively cooperated with non-Eldar forces. Usually they show and reinforce an army whose goals match their own, without ever saying "Okay, let's do a hammer and anvil formation, Brother-Captain Stern". As Harlequins have an anti-Chaos focus, I suppose that might happen with Grey knights relatively frequently.

I have never seen any fluff in 25 years of playing where harlies went along with GK - although they have been known to 'align' with humans.
I'm not sure how GK by pure original canon would get along with someone who worships a 'laughing god'. The avatar is a de facto eldar daemon.
I personally think this is not a thing.
However, whatever floats your boat - I would not expect Blood Angels to fist bump necrons or GK to make novelty ear-rings out of sisters of battle.

Don't GK also worship the emperor who is technically a daemon being dead but lives on in the warp? I am just saying because they both hunt daemons what is the chances they would encounter the same daemon force and band together? and as harlequins are AOC with the imperial faction it just hinted to me that's all.

I think from the GK perspective, Emperor worship is not daemon worship - that is heresy...

The Harlequins have worked with Inquisitors in the past (a few have been given access to the Black Library, which is where the Harlies hang out), so I don't think it's out of the question that they'd be ok working with the Grey Knights. The main barrier is getting over the Space Marine's natural abhorrence of aliens, and I don't think the Grey Knights are as worried about that. They probably wouldn't seek out Harlequins to work with, nor would they really go out of their way to protect them, but if they happened to be in the same place fighting the same daemons, they'd probably work together, and probably wouldn't engage in further hostility after the battle was won.
Unless the Harlies did some nonsense that the Grey Knight commander didn't like, such as sneaking in and killing the primary target while another Harlie tapped the Grey Knight on the shoulder and shouted "Look! Over there! It's Horus!"

Grey Knights are buddy-buddy with Eldar. Harlequins have let an Inquisitor into the black library, and the Pruifiers once cleared a craftworld that had been destroyed by chaos and stood guard till other eldar could come to reclaim their soulstones.

In the Shield of Baal campaign, the Blood Angels teamed up with the Necons. I've always looked at a 40k game typically as just 1 small skirmish in a much larger fight. There's no reason for one side to simply see the other as a means to an end.

Wouldn't they (Harle's) team up with anyone who is anti-Chaos if it was to there advantage/gain/to start the next segment of play?

Didn't they team up because they was insanely outnumbered by nids and if they did not band together they would have been easily overran that is quite tactical.

There's actually a GK story where that happens, too. They fight daemons on a tomb world and the necrons wake up. When the battle is finished ,the necron lord salutes the GK commander and the GKs take the hint and get out of there.

I have a feeling it would be a case more of "enemy of my enemy" than an actual alliance. The Grey Knights show up to deal with a daemonic incursion and the Harlies appear and attack as well. Afterwards the Harlies would likely vanish or snatch/destroy what they came for while the GKs would try to purge the xenos as all right thinking Imperials do.

or have tea and crumpet's afterwards with a game of football and if any IG saw the GK would have just killed the IG that witnessed there dark secret :D

The Harlequins could just as actively try to destroy the GK as well for whatever mysterious reason

As suggested elsewhere, it seems unlikely that Harlequins would have a formal alliance with anyone except their kin....but at the same time, would appear to assist pretty much anyone. Yep, even Chaos if they felt a certain outcome would do Chaos more harm in the long run etc.
In short? Don't worry about it. Background National Socialists will always find something to be Background National Socialists, so eff 'em!

Short answer is yes - if it furthered their goal
Same with Eldar - they will support most causes (possibly not chaos) if it makes the outcome that the Farseer wants
