Did anybody else notice that by the letter of the rules BT can't use Crusader Squads to form a Battle Demi-Company and, by extension, the Gladius Strike Force?
The formation specifically says "Tactical Squads" and I can't find anything that says the Crusader squads can by used to sub for tactical squads.
I'm really hoping this is an oversight that gets FAQ'd...

Im sure that is, why restrict BT so much and no one else?

Agreed! Hoping Emperor's Champ gets rolled into something like that too.

Two points:
1) That doesn't mean you can't use the Demi-Companies, you just use Bolter Crusaders as Tactical Marines. Templars can use the Tactical Squad organisation as well as an Ultramarines squad. It sucks for their loadout, but that's the breaks.
2) Fluff-wise, the Templars don't commonly use the Codex Astartes to form their Fighting Companies. It's not uncommon, either, but it is not their main go to. So, expecting to see a non-Codex squad organisation in a Codex Company Formation is a little off.
It just fuels my desire to see a Templar Supplement coming down the pipe.

Good luck with that, mate, because I'm pretty sure Supplements are dead (at least until the next sudden total change in Codex design). The last Codex to have one was Dark Eldar, just before Necrons shook everything up.

Well, yeah. Unless you include the Campaign Book between BAngles and Necrons, which could work just as well.

I still use CAD and the FoC for BT. If I feel the need to use a Demi-Company, then I'll just ally in some Crimson Fists.

I agree that it is probably how GW intended it, that BT can't really fit in the Gladius. However, Dark Angels got something very similar in their codex so I can understand the frustration. In a friendly group however I'm sure most people wouldn't mind.

Well, DAngels ARE Codex-Adherent, except when it comes to hunting the Fallen.
