Very nice model. Still looks like Putin if you ask me though.

That is a lovely model of Mark Strong in a syrup, but not worth 65 sheets to me.
Now when they finally get round to doing Sanguinius I may change my tune.
I don't play 30k, but I do love me some vampires.
Glitter optional.

Another brilliant Primarch model, all those years ago when I said if they ever did Primarchs I'd want them all, I've not regretted that in the slightest. Still missing Mortarian and now this fella now, might have to pop back to Nottingham in the next few weeks ...

Looks really nice and captures the feel and personality of the Primarch well. Wouldn't buy it, but look forward to seeing what others would do with it (like all the rest)

very very nice, except for the face - there's just something about it that slightly irks me, putting it from the "brilliant" into the "nice" range of things ;)

Hmm....
I don't suppose anyone can recommend a painting service willing to do charity type commissions?

The thing that bugs me is it's not an action pose. Sure, I can imagine Robot Gullible posing on top of a bit of marble like he's some big awesome hero with not a speck of dirt on him, but... that's not what a primarch should be doing. They should be leading their men into battle, getting dirty with the best of them.
I guess this model sums up why I hate Ultramarines and can't play them.

Odd, I imagined he was on the plinth moments after delivering a stirring speech to his legion going 'Guys, look at my new Power Sword, it's totes amazeballs."
Just goes to show, it's not always about the art, but the baggage we bring to the art.
Just as a matter of interest, what chapter do you favour?

the Horus Heresy character series is not just about making a mid battle model though, they also convey key points about the characters themselves. I think it works for Roboute to be stood on a marble base surrounded by the trappings of Ultramar, it tells you a lot about his personality at a glance.

Gulliman as a charcater, while certainly capable of kick arse at the front of an army, had more important strengths, he was a leader and a general but also a statesman. He leads his own Empire, he has more important things to do and thats whats dipicted here, he's ready for battle but his role is a leader and inspriation

I'm no great fan of the Ultramarines either, but I do like this figure and think it fits the character very well indeed. Guilliman has never really been portrayed as being a great fighter, he's a tactician and statesman. Think Julius Caesar and Augustus if you want examples from our history, both are renowned as great generals and leaders of the Roman people, empire builders, but they rarely actually got their own hands dirty on the front lines.

A better painter and suddenly he looks more like a roman caesar and not like Putin.

Of the founding chapters... Probably Blood Angels before they became straight Space Vampires, and Iron Warriors. The Blood Angels had a kind of noble feeling to them, while also being pretty savage warriors, and Sanguinius was just awesome (the Bill King story about the Battle of Terra still sticks with me).
The Iron Warriors I like because they're no-nonsense, just pound the enemy with firepower and heavy weapons until their fortress gates and walls crumble. Siege work is dirty work. Admittedly, I might have "adopted" them because I painted an army for my dad (their static fighting style on the table worked well for him, given that he had bad arthritis), and then inherited the army. My original favorite traitor legion was the Night Lords, who knew that striking fear into the enemy would get them to lose even faster.
Ultramarines were always just too generic and clean for me. They were the one chapter (and their successors) I could actually imagine stopping to clean their armor between battles.

Their rep never really bothered me, but yeah, I've always been under the impression that the 40k era of the smurfs were more about the book than the battlefield.
But then I don't do Black Library, so joo knows.

I love this model. As others have said, each of them is captured in an appropriate pose which evokes something of their character. Guilliman is a leader and a strategist; a thinker and commander first and foremost. (He is also stupendously good at fighting, but that's a secondary part of his role). As such I really like the regal, noble pose; exhorting his disciplined legions forward from atop a plinth commemorating the empire he's built.
Personally, it's really really cool. His rules are pretty good, too!

His pose may suit his fluff and personality but as a model, it's still pretty boring. Still a gorgeous model though, the detail is incredible.
I'd give it 8/10, a slightly more dynamic pose would easily make him a 9/10 and my favourite Primarch model alongside Vulkan and Konrad :D

I like it, but it is missing an edge, but then I suppose that is true about him. He has no edge no dark secret to bring out, just a simple 1D tactical genius and demi-god.
Beautiful model, totally, just idk

Not sure who posted it, but I agree.
The various Primarch models have so far been based on their dominant personality trait.
Gulliman no more suits an action pose than Lorgar does. In their own unique ways they're both so far beyond. Individual violence.
Guilliman's model is Guilliman as the statesman. Heroic pose, signature weapons, both check. Statuesque pose, check.
As a gaming piece....bit staid.

Ugh... Honestly, it's dull.
Not everything has to be a refactoring or reimagining of something, but I still think this Guilliman could have done with a Dan Abnett-esque (Know No Fear) redux.

Yeah, I'm not saying it doesn't fit him, I'm saying that I dislike it because I dislike Robot, the Ultrasmurfs, and everything about that legion. :D

It looks as though he's removed the blade from its scabbard in order to ascertain its current state of shininess, before placing it back inside.
"Mmm, yes, still quite shiny. Excellent."

Not a fan of his pose. I play a miniatures war game to pretend playing through soliders fighting each other in brutal combat.
Guilliman here looks like he's in parade dress salute - not about to smite the heretic. If I was putting together a diorama of Ultramarines giving homage to their patron primarch, I would be happy with this model. If I want to play a game where I'm pretending my super solders are knee deep in ork bodies, this doesn't cut the mustard.
As for his sword size, I get that its meant to be a gladius but the proportions of the rest of his armor doesn't give it the right look whereas it looks natural on say a roman legionary. In the end they're ultramarines and...
