Mantic's Enforcer Peacekeepers (http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/deadzone/faction-boosters/product/enforcer-peacekeepers.html) are the first figures the company has produced that I've been genuinely excited about. I bought a box of them and had no use for them. Then the Cult Mechanicus was released, and I suddenly needed Datasmiths for my robots (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?48252-My-Most-Ambitious-Scratchbuild-Ever).

These were converted using leftover bits from the Kataphron Battle Servitor box, as well as spare backpacks from the Skitarri box. their robes are sculpted from Milliput, and I used a few lengths of styrene rod to give their servo arms a little more length.

I also finished up the first of nine Kataphron Battle Servitors. Wonderful, wonderful models, these.

Very nice!
I know it is a common "complaint" but the moldlines really get in the way of your models road from "nice" to "great".

Literally hadn't noticed them until I looked at the photos!

*grumble stupid mold lines grumble*

Looks great! If you didn't know any better, you could almost think they were made for the AM.

they look fantastic, might have to look in to these enforcers myself.

They're a lovely kit; the Mantic hard plastic is a little different to GW's; it's... well, harder. But the models really are lovely. Which is a surprise, because I've previously been consistently underwhelmed by Mantic's stuff, largely, I think, because it's true scale, and overly fiddly.

But yeah, their hard plastic stuff is pretty great.

yeah I haven't been a fan of mantic stuff up to now, most of their fantasy stuff I can't stand aesthetically, and the cheap units like skeletons and so on that people rave about are pretty poor quality. they are definitely improving though, which is great

Totally agree about their fantasy stuff; it's just horrible, the Elves in particular. Like seriously: what the f**k is this supposed to be? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE GUY ON THE RIGHT?!! Did he buy this for the guy on the left as a Christmas gift? 'Cause that guy looks just elated. Or possibly appalled at what he's seeing. It's hard to tell. Either way, this is one of the most awful model kits ever seen.

Just horrible. And they released this! This passed quality control! *shakes head*

The latest Deadzone stuff's been good though. I like the Enforcer Pathfinders a lot; they'd make lovely Gue'Vesa auxiliaries.

yeah the elves were the firs things of theirs I ever saw, truly dire. even on a budget I couldn't understand anyone buying them. the Deadzone stuff is leaps and bounds ahead though. I do think that GW blazing the trail with moulding techniques, design queues etc. has allowed other companies to gain in quality much faster. I quite like their ogre range, too different to GW's to mix in, but might work for some alternative minotaurs, trolls or some such.

Even the peacekeepers (which is a decent kit, i have about 40 of them, half are assembled, the others will be converted into things I might ever use) aren't an amazing kit, but they'v moved their plastic game from 80s GW quality to 2000s GW quality at least.

So, I was trying to work out why I couldn't picture the Mantic kit when I was looking at your conversions.

As it turns out, it's because your conversions barely look like the original kit. Great job! It's one of those conversions where a relatively few extra bits give you a model that looks entirely different (and frankly, a lot better) than the original.
