Some Eldar! And some other stuff!

Been painting and building stuff lately. Here's pictures of my Eldar army minus a few units, just got one unit to paint and base them and job is a good un.

I've also got pics of my touched up captain which I added a storm shield and thunder hammer too, the hammer counts as a relic blade but better than a storm bolter counts as, right? lol.

Hellhammer and Ironclad show off my recent new skills of doing paint damage which is chaos black with mithril silver painted over. Gives it a nice edge which contrasts well.

Here's some terrain I've been working on recently. The first picture is made over from left overs from two CoD kits. I thought I'd make some kind of enclosed garden or pool or something which has been used as a outpost or a fortified position.

The second pic I got the idea from my local G.W shop. I intended originally to build a big wrecked tower but seeing the below picture at my local G.W I thought I'd make something like it. Mine turned out bigger:

Really nice look to your yellow for the Fists! How are you doing it?

Good work on the terrain, I never seem to get round to painting mine. Also, are you sure that those eldar haven't been subverted to slaanesh worship?

Thanks for the Fist comment, I'll tell you how I do it tomorrow as in a rush. As for the Eldar, well, what can I say... :)

Oh, forgot to reply to my painting jobs!

Fists are easy. The way I do them there is no need to use browns and build the colour up to yellow. Something a lot easier is to give a white undercoat and make sure is painted properly, no patches and all white! Then give two coats of golden yellow as sometimes the white undercoat can make the yellow look weak in places. Finally do the details and then a gentle wash of gryphonne sepia.

Eldar, well I was gonna do Ultwe' or however it's spelt. But I don't get on with black really as I like using washes and I don't do highlights so it wouldn't look too good. So I did a purple colour scheme which I used for a Emperor's Children test model and I'm going to write some background for the Eldar about how they serve Slannesh. Something different, hey?
