Well judging by the internet there is loads of hate on the eldar apparently there all manner of over powered as people have been saying and some people even out right refuse to play them will this effect my harlequins? I picked them as I do like the idea of assault with some short range yet really strong firepower.

Testicles to them!

People online will say one thing, then just play anyways.

It's just the Craftworlders that toys are being thrown out of the pram over; Harlequins don't have consummate D or cheap Troops jetbikes...

...but I can't entirely guarantee you won't run up against a player who doesn't know that. For those times I recommend carrying an Emergency Cake. When an opponent refuses to play you, you can eat it very slowly and with much enjoyment right in front of them.

easier said then done I play random unfortunately and I don't want to end up attending a game and the person making some wise cracks or refusing to play a game just because of what I enjoy hell I stay away from competitive list and rather play themed lists.

I'd tell them to get over themselves.

Where does that line of logic end? Any game where it looks like they're not guaranteed a win? Demanding they have double the points?

I agree there Mr Mystery but judging by how people now look towards the game where more and more armys come out balance is becoming apparently harder to maintain within the warhammer 40k games I wish they would just play the game and try to work around the game and not wiggle there dicks in people face's because they have a I-WIN list

If GW had shown any inclination toward a water tight, totally balanced rule set, at any point in time, they may have a point.

But they haven't. Ever. Last two editions have been more explicit than ever the game is about forging a narrative through cool looking battles.

Wait, what about the very beginning of Third, when all the flavour was sucked out of everything, leaving as few special rules and different weapons as possible?

That was done to streamline the game. 2nd Ed got clunky quick!

I doubt the Eldar hate will extend to Harlequins. They are a fun faction, but nowhere near Wraithknight power levels.

Not that I expect to encounter Eldar hate at either of my usual stores.

I doubt you'll get any grief over Harlequins. They don't have any boogieman units, and they're a pricey S3/T3 Assault army in a game in which the most successful things seem to be affordable, tough and shooty.

Don't sweat the net mate. Harlies are a freaky fun army that anyone with at least half a brain would be happy to play.

I just got back into 40k and have 2 games so far with my harlequins. 1-1-0. Just except their limitations. Get in fast
