I just picked up the Skitarii codex and a box of ruststalker/infiltrators. After reading the rules I decided to build ruststalkers duel wielding transonic blades. Im not sure however if they would get extra attacks for duel wielding weapons since transonic blades dont have specialist weapon on the description. Str +1 AP5 Melee, Transonic is all it says. What do you guys think?

specialist weapons only ever get the +1A if BOTH have specialist weapon

Yeah thats what I thought. Still 2 wounds and 2 attacks is pretty good.

But 2 wounds and 3 attacks is better, which is what they have.

If you have two weapons and both have Specialist Weapon, you gain a bonus attack.

If you have two weapons and neither has Specialist Weapon, you also gain a bonus attack.

It's only if one weapon has it and one doesn't that you're stuck at your base number.

(or if one has Two-Handed)

I think it's quite a tough choice between 2 transonic blades vs. Transonic razor+chord claw+grenades. Built my first ruststalkers yesterday and still not sure about my choice...

the solution is clearly to just buy lots more, and build all the options ;)

They have furious charge to help with their base str in charge, but after that the blades would help. Having one fleshbane attack kind of helps as well, and the haywire frag grenades put them over the top for me. Though 4s6 attacks might be better asgainst the lighter vehicles... Difficult, though I'm still with 70% for the 3 different weapons-loadout instead of dual-wielding.

Or.... drill holes and put magnets in. Saves you a lot of money and you still have all options.

they look a bit skinny for magnets

Blades offer combined with furious charge st6... but the grenades in the other weapon setting have impulse/haywire,too...

So do Dark Eldar and it is still not hard to do.

I'm anxious to get some of these next weekend when I finally pick up the LE dex. Smallest magnets I have are ~1.6mm Diameter by ~0.8mm thickness. Hopefully that is tiny enough to seat into anything that can benefit from them.
