Adeptus mechanicus Rangers and Ironstrider

Hey guys, I just wanted to showcase the new GW Adeptus mechanicus models that I have been working on over the weekend. Incredibly enjoyable models and I fully recommend them. How did you do the ruined asphalt on the ironstider base?

Hey, i've used somthing called cork sheet. Its like a cork you would get in a wine bottle... but a sheet :) you can grab it from ebay or a hobby shop. I would say experiment with texture and thickness, i prefer a more crumbley one like in the pic. of the storm trooper as there is more texture. Then paint it a dark grey and dry brush up. Looks good if you add puttice or green stuff to build up around the cork.
