As the title says, what is your favorite ship in BFG? Any race, class, and even stations.
For me, defanatly the Chaos Despoiler, I loves my attack craft.

Well, my favorite single ship is the Mars Battlecruiser. It's the perfect support ship: AC, Longranged lances, and a Nova Cannon. Really does a great job of helping Strike Cruiser get stuck in.
My favorite TEAM of ships is a strike cruiser and squadron of three Falchions. Escorts = die.

The Emperor Battleship, preferably with a Voss-prow. FP16 broadside and 8 squadrons of assault boats? Yes please.
Hmm, I'd have to say my favorite model is the Ramilies Star Fort. Absolutely beautiful sculpt, and it's great fun to plan an entire scenario based around one.
Overall though, I'd say the Tau Custodian. Another wonderful model, an insane amount of fighter capacity, and some great firepower to boot!
Model: the Chaos Repulsive Class Grand Cruiser, my first bfg model
Rules: Necron escort ships, nothing is more feard in my gaming group after a dozen Jackels killed 2 battleships in one Game

I've heard people say that the Repulsive looks horrible in real life.

That's funny, not to insult you, but I eat those things for breakfast. Battleships maybe, but I once killed 10 Necron Escorts in three turns with a Strike Cruiser and a handful of Falchions. Still, if you make it work, it may just be that that opponent wasn't very good...

I have a newfound love and respect for the Devastation-class carrier for Chaos. I field two simultaneously with usually an Acheron heavy cruiser and a couple of Slaughter-class and they can screen the whole fleet with fighters or swarm with bombers/assault craft as needed, or I can split them into one def., one off., and do both. On the rare occasion I field my Desolator-class battleship, I'll follow a torpedo barrage in with bombers and capitalize. Carriers FTW.

Problem with the Repulsive ist the low speed, 20 cm isnt that much in a chaosfleet.
Most time i play against Imperium/SM, Orks and Eldar most ships have to come to my ships.
Im nit that competive player but the repulsive gives a great Firbease in close combat cruiser fights.
Necron Escorts are though, armour 6 and that speed, i took a whole Tau fleet with 6 raiders.
Soits just a matter of play style in a competive list i wouldnt field a repulsive, but it has earned is reputation in my group :D
I like the Mechanicus Ark. Not because the rules are all that special, but because of how awesome it must be in-universe.
An ark dedicated to the god of Machines, wielding technologies not even the Eldar understand, dating from the Golden Age of Technology when humanity dominated the galaxy and crushed even the orks under their feet...

The rules may be poor, but the Krootsphere is one awesome looking model. I love it.
Close seconds are the Demiurg Bastion and the Arbites Punisher Strike Cruiser.

I have to agree with you there, the Demiurg ships look awesome -- I'm more fond of the Stronghold, but considering the "experimental" status of the rules I'm not sure I'd ever get one.

Last I checked, the Bastion and Stronghold both had official rules, published in IA:3, if I recall correctly. Are they GW-official? Don't know. FW, yes.

Well, the models are a matter of personal taste. I personally find the scultps interesting, but no way I'm paying that much for them.
The rules themselves are fairly simple: Take stock IN cruisers, up the WB to 45CM, and add a dorsal lance to everything. And give everything an oppurtunity to take an NC. And give everything a random crazy refit. Essentially, all their cruisers are half a step down from regular IN Battlecruisers.
Honestly, I find them most useful as reserves, escpeially a tricked out Gothic (lance boat+more lances+NC+refit=HELLZ YEAH), but they can be interesting as their own fleet (though theyare expensive).

I do enjoy my battlebarge, bombardment cannon at point blank crossing the T backed up by strike cruisers...

I would totally have to say the Styxx class. It just looks cool. Rules-wise, I'd have to go with a Slaughterer.

Aren't they in the Kor'vattra PDF?

Apparently I'm a bit off. IA3 hasn't got the rules. They are in BFG Mag 10, it seems.

Model would be the Repulsive, it's delightful! Shame it doesn't fit the Chaos fleet so well rules-wise with its low speed :( maybe I should just get another so I can field a little strike force of them... I quite like the model of the Retribution too.
Game-wise though, I really like the Slaughter class cruiser - mad batteries up close, and the speed to get them there! Gotta squadron them though, or they get swamped.

It's a toss up between my Desolator and my Carnages. I converted up my Desolator and it has a Star-Destroyer feel to it now, whereas my carnages have never let me down... like my Desolator does time and time again...

Personally I've always been fond of the Gothic Class Cruisers.
Yes they are horribly undergunned 4 lances on a broadside never does enough damage.
Yes they lack Nova Cannons and their awesomesauceness.
Still - Fielding groups of 4 of them it still one of those simple pleasures in life a fleet commander cannot ignore :)

First:
rules for the Demiurg are in Armada, in the Tau part. Official as all.
My coolest looking, favourite, winner:
Craftworld Eldar Void Dragon (=pre-release name!) :
Spirit of Arina (Flame of Asuryan model)
Sleek, elegant, yeah.

Got to go with my heart, Terminus Est. I went from playing Iron Warriors straight over to Death Guard. I collect a Death Guard (Nurgle dedicated) fleet for BFG, my 40K Death Guard army is centred around Typhus and all the bases are themed with ship deck grills...................bugger it, picture time........

My incomplete Death Guard fleet (yes, there is a Planet Killer on the loose in the middle), missing is the Terminus Est strangely enough, as well as my Death Guard Ramilies and a bunch of other ships!

I like the murder class cruiser. it is the best all around ship for the price in my opinion. The prow lances are ideal for poking at the enemy as you close, and the broadsides for the cleanup

Chaos Repulsive Class Grand Cruiser as a venerable Battlebarge for my Marines.
2 ship squadrons of Slaughters for my chaos -so I can run down eldar (and everyone else).
The OLD Gothic cruiser from Space Fleet as all in all coolest ship mini put out by GW

I'd rethink that if I was you. I have 9 of the things, and they are as annoying as all hell. The little wing plates always fall off, and the center hole is NEVER the right size to fit a flying base, and you can't drill it any larger with cutting the model in too. Which is a shame, because I find them to be extremely useful ships. Thats just my spiel though.

Despoiler Class chaos battleship. Design is lovley. 4 Hangars are cool. Weaponsystems are fine. I like it when this ship goes head first throug the enemy so it can cripple a cruiser with its 4 front lances.
Second is the "Panzerkreuzer" ;) dontīt know yet what it called in english, the one with 10 damagepoints.

Still awaiting delivery of my first ships, the beginnings of a space marine fleet. But modelwise, the Forgeworld Tau look very nice. Prehaps one day......

My favorite model for BFG is the Chaos Planetkiller hands down. I almost never play it though. As for playability, I like the Styx a lot.
On the Imperial side I really agree with several other posts...the Mars is excellent. I also love the Cobra destroyer model...I bought a lot of them.
Also, I really love my Tomb ship for the Necrons.
