Which Legion Will You Bring?

So, let's say that GW really does make a compelling game, and brings older marks of Space Marines onto the table. Whether it's Unification Wars, Great Crusade, or Horus Heresy, it doesn't really matter, there are 18 Legions to choose from, along with two that are kind of up in the air that nobody really knows about.

Which would you build, paint, and bring to the table, and why?

Do you already have a Legion army?

Do you already have a Chapter or Warband modeled after one of the original Legions?

Though on the Chaos Side, Noise Marines are my favorite, Emperor's Children really don't strike me as a Legion I'd want to paint.

I'm thinking Raven Guard or Night Lords, especially if the rules end up making assault marines and stealth tactics viable.

A loyalist Istvaan survivors force made up of:

Iron Hands for the cybernetics and servo arms.
Emperor's Children for the purple/gold colour scheme and style.
Iron Warriors for the Tyrant Terminator Squads.
World Eaters for the rage.

I wanna pre-Heresy force made of Salamanders and Iron Warriors.

But will probably either do the mixed loyalist survivor force or the BAngles, Space Woves, or Salamanders...

My 40k army is Imperial Fists and while I would be sorely tempted to have them as my 30k Legion, I think painting that many more yellow soldiers would kill me. I reckon I'd go with either Salamanders (who were my 2nd choice for a 40k army) for the burninating, or else a Loyalist World Eaters force as I love the white & blue (and blood) colour scheme.

Im working very hard on my "legion" at the moment in advance of this new wave of models.
I have a love of several legions but cant settle on one at all. Also the primarchs cause me the same problem.
So i thought buggrit i will do the Istvaan III massacre loyalists using 3 orgs from the books as Sons of Horus, Emperors children and World eaters.
Each will clock in at around 1000pts and thus give me a 3000pt HH army, plus Loken, Tarvitz and Shabran Darr.
My worry is what the form of this new wave will be. Fingers are crossed.

I'd like to do an Imperial Fists list sometime in the future.

I have Iron Warriors, so I'd do them, just as I'm already planning for some 30K fun with friends. Then I can use them in my CSM army as well.

Torn between death guard, word bearers but also think I would go for a Garro and the Agentus Primus task force too along with a boat load of agents of the imperium.

Though I do have a true scale alpha legion task force too

I might do an istvann 3 loyalist force to get sons of Horus, death guard , world eaters and emperors children

I would love to do pre-heresy Dark Angels...in the original colors. I am also very tempted to do Iron Warriors...reasonably easy to paint and tanks...lots of tanks.

Honestly, if GW really does put out a boxed game w/heresy marines, I would love to put together an army where each squad is painted in a different legions colors. Ultramarine command, DA, Salamanders, etc. tacticals, Iron warriors tanks, Space wolves devastators... just be cool to look at and not monotonous to paint.

As the name implies, Space Wolves with a side order of Night Lords. My two favorite legions at the moment.

The easy choice would be to do a legion version of my Salamander army, but I think I'd like to do a pre-Death Guard, Dusk Raiders themed force.

I'm stumped with this as well. I've got a decent start to a Horus Heresy army but it's generic and unpainted.

I've got a White Scar Space Marine army, but I loathe painting white at this point. I've also got Space Wolves and Blood Angels... but I'm tempted to take something else. I've always enjoyed the Alpha Legion in the Black Library novels so I'd be tempted to paint up a shade of blue and keep my foe guessing my true allegiance.

I am working on Night Lords, World Eaters, Iron Hands, and Raven Guard. if there really are plastic marines released, all those will grow, and there will probably be others too >.>
