So, for the first time ever, I'm thinking of attending SupaNova in Sydney in costume.
I've even managed to 1/2 convince my lovely wife to join me!
There's no end of good choices for my lady wife, but I'm struggling.
I'm neither tall nor slim, and as it turns out that really does limit my options if I want to fit body-shape to costume.
So far all I've been able to drum up from characters I actually know are Penguin and Yangus from DragonQuest 8.
So I'd like to throw it out to the collective.
Please help a fat man out?
Oh and no Naruto, can't stand that show.

You don't have to cosplay to your body type if you don't want to.
I'm going to be a taller Ciel than my Sebastian at some point XD
I personally aimed in the past for ones where I didn't need a wig or to mess with my hair - for comfort/laziness reasons (Alucard/Vincent Valentine)
I mean are you limited to Anime? I've seen some pretty good Hellboy and punisher cosplays from slightly larger individuals, and a very good shredder.

If you want to stay within body type, and not being snarky but based on you said 'fatman'- what about Baron Vladimir Harkonnen?
