Softback is 37.00 so for those people that wanted them in softback looks like it's happening.

The reason people wanted softback was to have more affordable copies of the books. That's not a bad price overall, knocks off about 1/4 of the price. And if that book is the same quality as the softcover End Times books, then the claims about quality can go drown in a lake. I was able to check out a softcover and the only difference is the cover itself, the pages are still a sturdy material and look great.

I'd hope the trend actually grows... but that might conflict with the whole thing in 40K where they've tried selling half-size codices for $41. This was you can save $4 off that price, get a full-size book, and it's still good quality.
