NECROMUNDA! We're starting up a campaign, so I thought it would be a good time to start painting these Orlocks that I acquired.

Speed painting for me, so this guy took a little over an hour. Which is pretty good for me... ^_^

for a speed painted figure in under an hour, very well done indeed.

I can accept other people being better painters than me, but that that's your <1 hour speed painting really hurts...

Nice job though. Wish I had a Necro group round here.

Man i loved that game, there is one they need to re-release not all these editions of Space Hulk (garbage) or Dreadfleet (more garbage).

Thanks guys. Yeah, Necromunda is great. It has everything I love in wargaming + a little bit of RPG elements mixed in. Should be a fun :D

OK, more Orlock's. Took me a little longer than an hour this time, but not much... I'm having fun not using any metals. It's quite a good exercise to do... I think everyone should give it a go every once and awhile.

There's numerous minor things that have to be finished off, like eyes and teeth and lenses, but as they're for gaming more than display I'll get around to those at a later date...

I've been playing with skin tones and things as I don't normally paint humans, or skin at all...

I like them, how are you doing the metal areas then if not using metalic paints?

Grays. Lots of grays. You just keep shrinking the surface area and lightening the gray used. Towards the end I jumped a couple of transitions to give it a shine look. If you want it to look older/used metal at the end wash the whole thing in umbra and it leaves a tinge of brown. Like on the Barrel of the heavy stubber.

So it turns out I'm still alive! Go figure! First two terms at school this year have been... tough. And while I want to paint more some times the drive just isn't there. Right now it is! More work on the gang... Better photos to come when I finish the last two miniatures... ^_^
