Alternate Sci fi rules

i am looking for some alternate rules to use my 40K minis with something squad based skirmish where you are fielding no more than 30 models but less for an elite army.

equivalent to bolt action sized games i am looking at beyond the gates of antares at present to convert across but no points cost means force building is restricted?

any suggestions?

Lots of different types of rules out there. I use a set called FUBAR, which work really well. The seem to work equally well with both 28mm and 15mm figs. There is some info on my Blog: http://vultureswargamingblog.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/FUBAR
