It's Christmas, which means another bigass conversion project for me. Last year was the IG Riptide (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?38689-Imperial-Guard-121st-Bifrosti-Riptide). This year, it's a superheavy tank variant.

I've had a Shadowsword chassis knocking around for a couple of years and not gotten round to painting it. Having re-read the rules for the Stormlord, it seems like one of the most underutilised IG superheavies. But I hate the model, and my chassis was already built, so I've done this conversion add-on. It sits on the front of the chassis, and lets me use it as a Stormlord.

It also converts to Stormsword

or Shadowsword

Amazing what you can do with plasticard and patience.

I like it. Very Lucius-pattern.

I both love and hate your plasticard skills in equal measure :D

Nope. Sorry!

But if you want to know the techniques I used...

Seriously: have a go for yourself. :) I mean, the total cost of components on top of the tank itself was £3. Total build time was five gloriously relaxing hours greebling away while watching watching 'Black Mirror: White Christmas', 'The Human Race' and 'The Box of Delights'. :)

... would I love to see the master sold to someone who can make and market good casts.

Lovely thought, but it wouldn't cast well - it's a series of wonky panels that were assembled as I went; if I'm making something to cast, I have to think it through a lot more carefully. This was something I just made up as I went along.
