Honestly....i think its kinda BS that your tyrannofex didnt make it. IMHO it looks much better than some of the submissions...but what do i know.

Still, great work!

Its brilliant, however I think they didnt choose you because its so close to the drawing and not that original. either way ITS INSANE.

I for one epicly approve of your Tyrannofex. Here's one Nurgle token, good for prevention of one infection of your choice. :)

I like to think so but the wording of the contest was...

Your choice of a converted Tervigon or Tyrannofex (look for the drawings in the tyranid codex). It should be inspired from the codex descriptions and drawings, and use GW parts as much as possible.

Still thats the way it goes . At least it got my arse moving to make the model.

Yeah I thought the wording of the contest was to make the monsters as close to the drawings/descriptions as possible.

Whilst I think some of the more "out there" models are worthy of the top 10, there are a few in there that pale in insignificance to some of them that I'm seeing pop up from the list of unchosen. well painted and beautifully modelled, but blandly inspired compared to modelling something that looks similar to the codex pictures.

I really like your Tyrannofex, and the paintjob looks great as well. Good job on that sculpted cannon. In addition, the cannon looks more like a Tyranid weapon that the actual codex art. I think you should have been on the top 10 myself. Personally it would have been nice to see a top 25 and had the community trim the list down to the top 10. I really think someone has something against tyrannofexs though...
I know there wasn't many listed, but surely someone could have posted 2 or 3 on the top 10.

Cheers for the ecouragement. Its like a losers love in . I can't believe that Lord Scythicans didn't get in there , they should have had unpainted models to show the work involved in the entries.

Fantastic job, the sculpting is spot-on and its scary how much it looks like the one from the codex! great job :)

I agree with you. A losers love in for sure! :)

As for the unfinished pics, I agree with that as well. They really show how much work was put into the models. Making something like your rupture cannon or the very large beast of mine isn't easy. Seems like a lot of people focus on the paintjobs more often though.

Nice sculpting. I like the size, which is about the same as the one I did (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?t=4989)using the same base. Cool!

Looks great.

Kudos for doing a Tyrannofex instead of Tervigon.
