So... come home from work and find this in my rec room/game room/hobby room...

Apparently my better half was perusing an antique shop, and found this in the corner collecting dust. Solid wood black base included. Got it for a steal.

Hinged front door, full enclosure.

Who has the best wife in the world? This guy right here.

Congrats- sounds like quite a lass.

(I have to hide my minis from the Mrs - or as she calls them - the pointless painted people).

.... hang on, you have a games room? ^insert jealous expression here^

I do indeed. Quite a large one. Upstairs "bonus room" home builders call it. Pretty lucky in that respect.

"Pointless Painted People" huh? Nice.

My spouse uses the term "Boy Barbies" liberally for my plastic obsessions.

Hang on to that woman, no matter what you got a good one there. A display case for your "Boy Barbies" nothing says I love you more than that.

Talk to Dr. Johnson in Houston he does accessories for all the shoe models.

1. Nice display case!

2. Understanding/tolerant wives FTW! (Even more so if they play ^_^)

3. Someone really should start a tribute to 40k wives/girl friends/ect thread.

BTW, Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10011055) sells a really great one for a very reasonable price. It looks very similar to this one.

The Ikea one is nice but not sized well for miniatures imo. Two of the shelves are too low for good display, but it's a decent enough price and other options are hard to find. The one that Akkon Sek got is pretty much perfect, though, and I would definitely take it over the Ikea one. Nice find.
