I'm working toward a list for my local meta, it isn't super competitive so I don't want to take just wave serpents and wraith knights so I decided to incorporate the dark kin onto the field.

Autarch w/ a jetbike and laser lance 95

Medusae w/ venom w/ extra splinter cannon 90

5 dire avengers in a wave serpent w/ scatter laser and shuriken cannon 195

5 dire avengers in a wave serpent w/ scatter laser and shuriken cannon 195

5 warriors in a venom w/ extra splinter cannon 105

5 warriors in a venom w/ extra splinter cannon 105

5 Fire dragons with a wave serpent w/ scatter laser and shuriken cannon in a venom w/ extra splinter cannon 305

5 blaster born in a venom w/ extra splinter cannon 180

6 reaver jetbikes w/ 2 cluster caltrops 126

5 shining spears 125

Wraithknight 240

Wraithknight 240

The idea is to have redundancy in almost every unit, even if the other unit isn't exactly the same thing. Like the shining spears to the reaver jetbikes or the blaster born to the fire dragons. There's nothing even close to the wraithknight on the dark eldar side, which is why it is bringing a twin. (Well, that and I just got them so I'm kind of attached.)

The autarch will go with either the reaver jetbikes or the shining spears and join them in causing melee havoc. The medusae is meant to be intimidating, I figure once she drops an AP 3 flamer on a unit of marines they'll focus fire on her. The warriors will work with the dire avengers to help control the midfield when it comes time for that. Over all it is meant to be a very fast, very hard hitting list. The blasterborn and the fire dragons will deep strike in hoping to lay waste to whatever the most important vehicle or big thing that my opponent has.

My primary concern is that I've incorporated so many extremely tough units (wave serpents, wraith knights) that the opponent will just take the venoms apart, but even if they do, that's only a couple hundred points lost. Also, kill points will be my absolute bane, having 20 in the list, and half of those being extremely easy to collect.

I dig the idea of the Venoms running around with Wave Serpents and speeding out to quickly grab objectives.

Looks like fun. I want to try putting the dragons into a venom or a raider to see how it works out.

mixing battle brothers is great fun but a little advantageous.

my favourite is twin cannoned venoms mixed with vypers [which on their own are rubbish] the opponent then has both oodles of st6 and poison to deal with.

three things i would say about the OP army list - run dragons in half dozens - that extra dragon makes all the difference - [unless you are immune to rolling 1's ?]

also i think that shiny spears are better in threes or in a 'power unit' - five is just a bit tough to hide and going to be a tempting first kill if they are visible. - if they are forced to jink - [almost a certainty] then they are reduced to charge attacks only - even one lucky lance hit from shooting can make vehicle destruction easier, and against infantry targets the 6 twin linked cat shots are going to do much better if not snap shooting.

if you play billiard board - id definitely go for three only - but if you play terrain heavy - the same as dragons a 6 or 7 bike unit will pay off - actually - you could even run 2 x 3 - youve got plenty of points to play around with.

and thirdly - for 5pts - stick the mask on the boss ! that unit wide I reduction could be invaluable

6 dragons won't fit on a venom which would be totally against the point.

If my opponent wants to dump all his fire power into a 3+ 4++ unit that I paid 125 points for, I am very okay with that to be honest. I have weaker units who get priority hiding spots.

I don't have 5 points to afford the mask, I'm already 1 point over. If I drop something to make up the points the mask is on my to get list.

sorry missed that. the dragons are listed as having a wavez; but your going to remount them.

youve got oodles of points to mess around with - youre carrying three chin guns on the wavz.

like the idea of melta-bomb dragons assaulting out of a venom

I've given this list more thought (which is all I can do ATM, since I don't own everything for it yet). The updated version of this list exchanges the blaster born for another unit of fire dragons (bringing the total cost under 2000). Also I swing back and forth between the unit of shining spears and a second unit of reaver jetbikes. Still don't quite have the 5 points for the mask, which I would really like to get if I keep the shining spears.
