Housing machine spirits which some say became too accustomed to wholesale slaughter during the Age of Strife and the Great Crusade that followed it, many of the more conservative Households consider the Styrix to be a dark and malevolent pattern of armour, the wanton slaughter it unleashes being beneath a true Knight. Other Households hold no such reservations, loosing entire formations of Styrix mark Knights to mercilessly annihilate their foes.

Armed with a devastating Volkite chieorovile and backed up with a graviton gun and twin-linked rad cleanser, the Questoris Knight Styrix is easily able to eliminate large numbers of infantry at range. Whilst in close combat, its immensely powerful hekaton siege claw can smash vehicles and tear buildings asunder, making it a powerful addition to any army.

The Questoris Knight Styrix can be fielded in Horus Heresy games using the Battles in the Age of Darkness expansion as part of the forthcoming Questoris Knight Crusade Army list or as a Lords of War choice for any Horus Heresy army. Its rules will be published in the next Horus Heresy rulebook.

This is a complete multi-part resin and plastic kit, designed by Rob MacFarlane.

It is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Monday November 17th.

No rules teased for the Volkite weapon? If it's a beam, it's going to make modelling this with any pose other than the gun levelled a little awkward.

Given it's description - possibly a pre-cursor to Daemon Knights, given it's proclivity for slaughter?

Being a resin hybrid kit, will come with the usual Knight head options as well.

I've felt that way about almost all the 30k Mechanicus-only Knights, but fortunately...

Actually, they showed this one along with the other two at the last Horus Heresy event (either that, or Games Day), FW simply rolled them out for sale in intervals, presumably to have time to build up stock. I would actually look at this as a good thing for people who want stuff other than HH material- they're building up a backlog of stuff to give the sculptors more time to work on new things (admittedly, most of those will be more HH releases, but I should expect other things will make it into the pipeline).

Another positive note, they didn't fit it with the Glaive's Volkite Carronade, which shows the rules team haven't completely lost their minds yet.
