A model gets attack dice equal to its Attacks (A) characteristic, plus any bonuses it may receive for charging, having two close combat weapons, etc.

Each engaged model takes a number of attacks equal to its Attacks rating (A on the profile). Models can get bonus attacks in a variety of ways, including one for having initiated an assault earlier that phase

The rules for this are detailed on page 37.

The other common source of extra attacks is having more than one close combat weapon, and these rules are found on page 42.

So, the total attacks made by a unit will be the sum of all the attacks made by its engaged models.

One question the number of rolls a unit gets is based on what? just need a bit of shaping up on that rule.:p
