This is my first crack at a mycetic spore. I found a fake pear at the dollar store that was covered in little plastic beads. I took off the stem and dug into the top to create a mouth and added some tentacles and a few spare bits to the top and bottom. I used some air drying clay to fill in around the beads. The circular areas are going to be eyes. I taped them over to keep clay off them to make eye clusters. I just need to drop it on a 60 mm base and then spray it and start painting. I am going to cover the eye areas again before I spray them and just use red wash and paint yellow or black slits like cat eyes.

Very nice. Please keep us updated on your project, I'm interested in seeing it finished as it should rock on the table.

Very promising start, any chance you'll add some opening cracks?

That looks absolutely amazing. I would love to see if you could do some sort of crack in it and like the head of a carnifex or something poking out. That would add a lot of class to it in my opinion.

I have been trying to work out how to do some effective looking openings on it. I might try some work with green stuff tonight to see what kind of effect I can get on a real apple before I try it out on the what I have done so far. :)

That's actually pretty good. It definitely has potential.
